Whoa, there's a whole bunch of people I wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley way!

Fantastic conversions, they're going to look great in your army's colour scheme. I should really look at that 'Blood on the Reik' book, sounds chock full of weird ideas. I think the only nutter you're missing is a chap with a rat handpuppet (or Fingermouse!*)

Thank you very much!
hehe, I take that as a good sign.
Thanks alot! I think they will be painted in some more browns with some hints of red and blue to symbolize that the skaven have taken all the red and blue fabric from them. The blood on the Reik book is a really great source for inspiration. A rat handpuppet sounds like a great idea and I have just the bits for it!
The reference went over my head completely. =(
So here's fifteen more cultists I made today. Too tired to get into detail about them all
I threw together these witch hunters while I was at it. I've used so many other parts for the cultists I could afford to make some "good" guys. They're both inspired by artwork found in the Blood on the Reik book.
Hope you like and C&C is welcome!

Underbart galet. Imperial-themed Skaven is a good idea, but these cultists steal the cheese and show. Excellent models, very Blanche-y.![]()
Is that woman the unit champion? She looks like she should be!
Some of these are just plain bonkers, midget? Rat on stilts? What are you on dude!?

Tackar! I was afraid they'd steal the show. The clanrats are almost impossible to convert due to their monopose nature. on the other hand they are alot easier to rank up. Don't know really what to do about that.
Indeed she will be! She's based on yet another picture from Blood on the Reik. the Motherkin. she'll get a staff and a dagger and some more fur on her hat and a skirt, some boots will be sculpted as well.
The rat on stilts is from the mordheim rulebook. =P
So here is the witch hunter type dude with some added green stuff. I made a new back banner because I wanted the skulls further apart and not in the fire!
A couple more cultists. I took MaxSigmunds advice to make a cultist with a rat handpuppet., I made it so that it looks like he is being told something by the puppet and is reaching for his knife, I love this model, it tells a story on its own, thanks for the idea Max!
I think that rat is whispering "Get your hand out of my bum, and don't put that other one up your own!"
The one on the top left looks like he needs a scabbard, I get the impression that's just drawn his sword. They're all looking great and I'm eagerly anticipating seeing the finished unit. How many do you plan to make?

Lol. And yes the top left needs a scabbard, I was just lazy. I have bits for about 50 cultists but for now 30 will do.
Here's the last cultist and the leader. I have sculpted boots for her. I have a skirt for her made from a cloak but it doesn't look good on her so I'll probably have to sculpt one.
Here's a PIP of Herman Gottz. I really felt like painting this fellow and I have tried to stay close to the artwork in my colorchoises, the pants was painted grey as opposed to the artworks red but I needed some contrast from the armor. I'm not entirely sure about the shirt either and I have no clue what the things in his waist are so I have left them white for now. I am really happy with the head and face as well as the armor.
hope you like and C&C is welcome!
I do like! The spearman's looking weird with those spindly legs and that hunched body! I think someone's been having too much fun with the bits box!

Indeed I have, I need to get back to finishing the IOB box.
Right, so after the little cultist detour I finished the remaining Clanrats from the Island of blood box. Just a side note, I took all the more heavily armored clannies and put spears on them since its an upgrade I figured they should have better armour in addition to their spears. In the top pics is the converted unit champion. It's a state trooper arm added as well as a state trooper hat. I also green stuffed a puff arm on his shieldarm to match the puff on his sword arm. I really like this fellow! looks foppish enough.
Haha these Skaven are hilarious! The ratogre with the fake beak is the coolest thing ever. It really made me think of those vultures in armour from Disneys Robin Hood
The cultists are looking creepy as hell there Nordic - some superb kitbashing. The motherkin is shaping up to be an excellent sculpt as well![]()

Oh, combining Grey Seer-references with stuff from one of the greatest background-books ever released by GW is certainly to my liking. Incredible cultists!

Thank you and yes maybe it reminds of those vultures but on steriods maybe. :P
Thank you! hopefully I got something new to show till next update.
Thanks alot! I really like the blood on the Reik book. A gem of GW.
Thanks alot! That was the point! :P
Thanks! indeed it is.
The weapon teams are done! I'm quite happy with them. maybe I should have painted the flames on the burning rat green?
Here's a Rat Ogre and a Packmaster. Im very happy with the warpstone on the packmasters poker. Not that happy with the cabling tho.
Only has the Warlord on bonebreaker left to paint! Feels good. Then I'll paint the Cultists before I get cracking at the second IOB box and when I go home I'll look for my box of assembled but unpainted Stormvermin that I bought like, one or two years ago and see if I can do something with them.
Hope you like and C&C is welcome!

It's funny, but bright colours seem to suit Skaven despite their usual personality being dirty and dingy! It'll be great seeing those cultists painted up!

Such a shame that ratogres usually are crap in games I play cause you definately show how awesome they look when painted well.
The shoulder and loincloth are aspecially very clean and crisp.
How did you paint that warpstoned skin? I need to do something simular for my abomination soon
Also you did a great job on the "Gas Bombs" of the Mortar but don't you think they should be glossy? I always figured they were made of glass and the swirley clouds was gas you could see through the glass
EDIT: Also agree with you on the warpstone from the packmaster, especially the bottompicture makes it look like it is powering up and starting to glow!

Thanks alot mate! Yes, I agree the gas bombs should be glossy, I'll fix that later with some gloss varnish.
I stole Slivers recipe for the warpstone so all kudos to him. "The warpstone was painted after the skin, starting with scorpion green (thinned down more and more the further from the source, for a light effect). Then highlighted with scorpion green + white, the stone itself then washed with snot green, then re highlight with scorpion green + white and then pure white."
Hehe those cultists really has stolen the show of this plog!
A quick update!
The Bonebreaker almost finished. I'll paint the Warlord tomorrow. I used the Deathclaw paintsheme on GWs website for reference on the skin and beak. I In the middle of painting I got inspiration to do the front piece barding thingy and paint red and blue on the armor. came out quite nice imo. The tailfeather will get some more work done to it. I'll make it so that it looks like its been tied in place. I think it made a huge difference to turn the face forwards instead of having it sideways. Gives me hope to convert the rat ogres I have in the new IOB box.
