    My Empire Heroes - searching originality

    Hello hello!

    Tired of the Empire commander box set variants that filled the battlefields of the Old World, I've started a new project in order to make some Empire heroes with a bit of personallity. In my list I have a battle standard bearer, a wizard, a hero and maybe a giant -I know it isn't exactly a hero...-. By the way, in my army there's no place for horses. All the soldiers struggle on foot!!

    THE BEGINING

    Battle Standard Bearer - WIP

    This is the war-ravaged world of Warhammer, and there's only WAR!... and hammers.

    @bob_the_small thank you for your nice comment

    @Anardakil the same for you.

    @Weemo I know what do you mean. Sometimes the wind blows in the same direction, although it seems incredible

    @Gargobot thank you very much

    @MF3000 hahahaha, the head is from the Catachan heavy weapons sprue, the legs are from one of the Imperial great cannon crewman, the body, hands and sword are from the old Imperial infantrymen sprue, the top of the banner is from the current crossbowmen sprue.

    By the way this is the state of the project so far:

    (please note that I added a ring in his right hand. My BSB is a married man it seems)

    It appears that you had put the ring on the wrong hand, so your BSB is not married, after all (lucky guy)
    Anyway, it is a really neat model.

    Looks nice so far, does the red bandana indicate a brave man of Hochland? Or in other words where will your characters hail from?

    Edit: @Compedium: I don't want to start a discussion, but let's assume that the Empire is kinda like Germany. Than it would be the right hand, as Germans, Austrians and some other European countrymen wear wedding rings on the right hand.

    He looks particularly heroic. I like it!!

    Nice paintjob so far as well. Is there going to be a flag attached to it?

    I was not really into it, so I guess that the ring is on the right hand after all, and that imagination has no limits.

    Now that's pretty cool, i dunno about anyone else but the old empire swordsmen were much better than the new ones, they're the only reason i don't play empire

    Lovely stuff. Like Weemo said, little touches like the bandana and banner blowing the same way add to it.

    Funnily enough, i made a hero a while back that used the same (artillery crew) legs, except he was a noble with a pistol.

    @ Compendium, as @ Gargobot said, in some European countries the ring is in the right hand, and I'm European myself.

    @ Daniel36, I'm currently working in the banner.

    @ Sork21, I'm totally agree, I prefer the old ones.

    @ bob_the_small, Elfboy, Golden Lion, Nordic, Jedi152 thanks very much for the nice comments and the support.

    The BSB is nearly finished now, and no, Gargobot, he's not a Hochland man, he's a brave Ostlander (at least we are neighbours):

    I Do you like it? Next project: the captain on foot!

    He looks Great! I like that you have decided to make your own heroes. I hate the empire general sprues too. Really nice paint job, can I ask you for your recipe for skin?
