The Emperor`s Blue Fists (Marines)

Hello,
I´m planing to build up a new Marine Army, but the problem was to decide whitch chapter I should choose. After a long time I stood between The Imperial Fists and the Crimson Fists. But I´m to lazy to paint a complet army in yellow, so I dissmised the Imperial Fists. I dissmised the Crimson Fists as well, because there are all ready so many people building and painting them. In the end my Idea was to raise up a new Chapter with signs of the Fists and thats how I came up with the Emperor`s Blue Fists.
Now the next interesting point was how I should paint those Marines, well this was so simple I just switched the colours of the Crimson Fists, that means red armour and of course blue fists.
The next part was to choose whitch troops I want to have in my army.
That´s what I plan:
of course every Infantrie Modell will get the Fists Shoulder Pads from GW.

Kantor
10*Sternguard Veterans with Rhino (Forgeworld doors)
2*5* Scouts with close combat equipment
2*Land Speeder Storm with HB
2*10*normal Marines
2*Razorbacks with HB
5*Assault Terminators (Forgeworld shoulder pads)
Land Raider (Forgeworld doors)
Vindicator (Forgeworld doors)
Predator (Forgeworld doors)
Whirlwind
Land Speeder with 2 Multimelters.

The colour scheme looks fantastic! My only suggestion would be to redo/repaint the bases as they seem too light and draw attention away from the model itself.

I really like the colour scheme! Simple reveral of an established one, but brilliant!

I have a similar quandry, liking the fist iconagraphy, not liking painting yellow etc. A friend of mine suggested "The Brown Fists of Fury" but I'm not sure how GW friendly that'd be...

Yeah that´s true but in reality they aren`t so "shiny". I think I use some Inks to get the colour down of the Base.

I don't usually like blue and red together but this works well. Good use of deep shading to get some nice contrast into the models. Keep up the good work.

Clever work. Only thing I dislike is the name Emperor's Blue Fists. Try finding another word for Blue that sounds impressive, like, for example, Azure, or Cerulean, or Sapphire. Other than that, love the army! =)

Hey Guys thanks for your kind words.

@Arkion: Acctualy the name is not the best, I know that. But I don´t want to have such a loong name. I want to show with the name that this chapter is close to the Crimson and Imperial Fists.

I´ve bought the SM Battleforce yesterday and I´m waiting for my Mailorder order.
I just ordered 4*Fists Conversion Kit, 2*Tactical Shoulder Pads and of course Captain Lysander (the model is just to good not to use in an army with Fists). They should come tomorrow. So be prepared on the weekend there will come lots of updates.

Now I´m going on in building the marines so far that I can finish them quickly when I get the order.

I´m thinking of making a little tutorial on how I paint the Red and the Blue, but only if you guys are interested.

Alright here comes a smal update.
I just bought a Land Speeder Storm and this Box is just ******* great.
And my Order arrived so I finished bulding the first Tactical Squad with complete Metal Shoulder Pads and Metal Backpacks.
Of course I finished building the Land Speeder Storm.


At the moment I´ve the problem to decide how to build the Base for the Land Speeder Storm. I want to show on the Base that those guys are Cityfighters.
Should I buy some Ruins or is there an easyer and cheaper way?

Later the day I´m going to spray on the Basecoat and start painting them.
So be prepared for the next update.

That's a fantastic name!!! I think I'd go with Cobalt over Cerulean though. Cerulean is a little bit interior design for me. Or maybe just go with Marines Cordon Bleu.

The Land Speeder Storm reaches slow it´s finsih. I managed to paint the Storm and 2 Guys of it´s crew and surprise here are the pictures:





Acctualy I´m thinking how I could make a nisely Base, maybe Cityfight.

Well, I have to say I love the paintjobs. This definitely looks like good work so far. The only thing I'd recommend changing is the name, since there is just something about Emperors Blue Fists which doesn't sit right. For some suggestions here are some blue related names

Azure, Cyanea, Indigo, Larkspur, Mazarine

So you could try "The Azure Fists" or "The Indigo Hand" for example. Just some suggestions. I think "The Teal Punch" is probably pushing it a bit, hee hee...
