Failcash, Failcast, Finecash or Finecast are just synonyms.

Although the first three are a bit childish, but isn“t any person playing with toysoldiers childish anyway?

Pretty much all monstrous infantry that went from single metal blister to a box of 3 Finecast got their price reduced, probably also those that got a plastic kit too. It's the only positive thing I've seens since they switched metal to Finecast. Might not be enough to counter the gamble of buying a box of Finecast for some, but still at least it dropped the metal price to a similar level on ebay

I don't remember how much was a single Carrion, but I guess there's still some saving there too? Or have they pulled a Fell Bat on them? On the other end of the spectrum though, the Tomb Herald got the same treatment as the Empire Engineer on mechanical steed, it doubled price! I don't have sales figure for them, but to me they look like extremly bad sellers. Are they increasing the price by so much to make them look "valuable" ?
Vampire Counts Army : At least 4000pts built, much more waiting for some love!
Tomb King Army : About 6000 pts of troops, all that is left is painting!

Also I hate to say it, but the Space Marine battleforce had £97 worth of stuff for £60 in it before the price rise. Now its £80 you're still getting a box of stuff for free. Not as ridiculously good deal as it was, but still a deal.

If you want to rage about something, rage about the movement trays.
Current GW 'deals' are only deals because they've upped their prices to such ludicrious levels. It's not quite the same as stores increasing their prices and then offering 15% of the marked price to make it look like they've cut prices, but it's not far off. Back when battleforces were ~$100 AUD I bought over the space of ~4 years ~11 space wolf battleforces and an assortment of other army's ones as well, back when I was a poor student.

Currently their pricing is all over the place for battleforces. The cheapest one is the Dark Eldar one at $155AUDhttp://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod1230006a whilst the most expensive one is the CATACHAN!?WTFROFL!?!?! one at $190AUD!?! http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/ca...Id=prod2060000. The ultramarines one is still $180AUD , but it's $10 cheaper than the catachans with 20 marines (including 5 assault marines) 5 scouts and a rhino whilst the catachan one has 20 guard, a command squad, 3 heavy weapons and a sentinel....

::looks at GW website:: The IG Battleforces are $145.00 in Canada. It basically works out that the Sentinel is free. At $145.00, that works out to $5.00 per item in the box, or $3.90 each mini if you deduct the $36.00 retail value of the Sentinal from the total. That is positively brutal. The least they could have done is left the Leman Russ in the kit or add a Chimera in addition to the Sentinal. Even then the kit would still be overpriced.

So finecast prices are close to forgeworld prices?
Why would anyone buy finecast if they can buy forgeworld in the same price bracket?
    Variety?

Forgeworld don't produce a lot of stuff. If they did, we'd just buy Forgeworld. Also, a lot of us really dislike resin models for all kinds of reasons.

They don't have much of an option but to defend everything bonkers GW does, I once questioned the quality of white dwarf on these forums whilst working at GW and my manager of the time got sent a huge dossier of all my forum activity showing what I'd said and why they thought it was me. I feel sorry for the mugs still working there for minimum wage whilst their bosses rake in all the extra profits.

I'm sorry if anyone's already posted this but are there less models in the Ork Battleforce? My old one had 30 Ork Boyz, 9 Warbikers, 5 Lootas/Burna Boyz and a Trukk IIRC. The one on the website only has 20 Boyz, 3 Bikers, no Lootas/Burnas but keeps the Trukk.

Please tell me I've got something wrong here...

The Battleforce has not changed. What you describe was one of the Christmas special deals.

Fairly standard practice in the public and private sectors- usually a code of conduct can be found in your companies HR guidance/policy which details any restriction on private activity.

My employer is very clear that disparaging them online is potentially gross misconduct- and frankly its fair enough; your employment is somewhat linked to your employers reputation so you have both a moral and legal (if its in your T&Cs) duty not to damage it.

Legal protection is available for genuine disclosure of actual wrongdoing.

Ps- I do not work for GW but just wanted to address this issue as most people on here who are employed will be bound by similar T&Cs whether you have read them or not- GW is far from alone in this

It does raise some questions though when you consider that message boards are not as overt as Facebook or Twitter. Unless bringerofdecay tipped their hand or was outed somehow, how did they link a person to a user profile and create a dossier? Are the rest of us being monitored by GW as we speak?

This is an open forum. As soon as you know which username belongs to a person, it is not hard at all to monitor all of his/her posts.

I actually hope they are. It's unlikely that they'll actually act on any of the feedback here, but I hope they at least read it.

That's why I mentioned the user tipping their hand or being outed. Once certain info is known, finding posts on a message board is easy as pie. The notion of GW watching a forum like Warseer does raise some questions though.

Such as why they are incapable of listening to what their customers are saying if they are so clearly monitoring it.
