    Re: Mordheim structures

I finally figured out a way to base my buildings. I will use regular floor tiles combined with floor tiles with a decorated edge as kerbstones, thus creating a kerb... These will fit nicely upon my finished city board.

As you can see on these pictures, the kerb suits the style of the building very well.

You know what time it is???

It's statue time! No Mordheim board should be without a statue... Or two!

Statue of Maximillan Damark of the Marksmen of Miragliano (posing as an important noble or great hero of the city...)

Statue of an old Warrior Priest of Sigmar

Great stuff, the statues are looking good. I like the floor tiles that you've based everything on.

    Looking forward to more,

Mite be an idea to work in cracks & damage into the floor tiles to hide the bubbles created during casting. Just a thought!

How have you counterbalanced that piece of terrain at the top of the page? Unless it's getting glued down/ a bigger base/ a rock on the base it's going to tip over a lot.
This is all looking pretty good. I like the way you've incorporated a tree into the city- Too many boards have no trees at all.

My thought exactly... Thanks for the sharp thinking. To be more specific, I have been using a lot of 'miscasts' (bubbles), blocks and tiles that wouldn't have made the final cut while building other scenery or expanding my dungeon... I'll attack those with a pair of pliers...

You have not been sitting still! Excellent work. I like the statues, and the tree looks very nice as well... Very Dutch, actually! Keep it up.

    Very nice additions.

And considering the amount of awesome Mordheim-builders in the Netherlands, I'm considering emigrating, or at the least conducting a pilgrimage, Modelcase in hand!

    Re: Mordheim structures

Marienburg and Mordheim go hand in hand, that could be the reason... Heck, I'm even using the Amsterdam canals as a source of inspiration for my very own little corner of Mordheim...

I have just about finished the first quarter of my table. I still need to cast some 100 floor tiles, but other than that, it's done... The buildings can be moved around, as can the statues and one of the trees. The other tree, the one on the edge, cannot be moved as it is incorperated into the wall.

As you can probabely see, there is still quite some room left. Time to build some more...

    Re: Mordheim structures

The glue is still wet, but here are a few pictures of the afternoons work...

Not what I had planned, but I figured I needed an extra level on the basic city board. This should give me even more options. All four corners of the board will be elevated in this way. The statues are from the Citadel Chapel kit and fit in nicely... These should help giving my city a bit of Empire feel.

It's not quite finished yet, it still needs floor and stairs, but these have already been made and are waiting for the last wall to be built...

What is going on with all these dutch people playing Mordheim and using Amsterdam as inspiration of Mordheim it's self? Are you guys trying to tell us something???

Anyway fantastic work. The chapel kit combines quite well with other kits I find, you still get the empire effect without it being all "grimdarkgrimdark". Looking forward to seeing more of Amsterdam.

Go figure that Marienburg has a lot of Dutch names in their streets and leaders and all...

I can tell you pal, Ezekiel_Celes, my club buddy and Mordheim enthusiast, is going to be green with jealousy over this. It looks absolutely AWESOME!!

Actually, I myself am getting quite jealous. It looks like an awesome place to Warhammer Quest on.

Could you tell me something? Those tiles you use for flooring? What dimensions are they? Do they happen to be the same size as the large (Ork) bases? Because if that is the case, I know what I am going to use for my next Warhammer Quest Dungeon Project!!

Keep it up, can't wait to see it finished. Especially that bit with the three statues. It looks really spooky and definitely sets the mood.

Assuming all Hirst Arts floor tiles are the same size (they should be), yes, they have the same measurements as a large (25mm) base.

Thanx for the feedback and positive reactions! It's good to see that so many of you visit and view this thread...

That's another of our plans... Over the past few years I've constructed a huge modular dungeon, using Hirst Arts blocks. The Mordheim board is being built in the same style. We plan to use both for our WFRP campaign... If you would like to see some pictures, just PM me...

Yes, they are. I even used a smaller version to base my Dwarfs...

    Yes, you are right...

This morning I finished my elevated corner. I've added two pictures below...
