That tree is amazing! Perfectly fits the mood of your board.
I 'bough' to your incredible skills!

Love Love Love the tree. Very moody.
Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks!
Never painted your scenery? Shame on you
Great movie!
Thanks!
Thanks!
I just checked on the tree. Most of the putty is now completely dry. Luckily there aren't that many cracks but it shrank quite much, obliterating most of the sculpted detail... It seems another layer is needed to complete the tree.
Thanks for watching! More updates coming soon! As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated, so please let me know what you think, and, if you're feeling adventurous, feel free to rate my thread...

Been such a long time since we got an update
Ive got the chills man, wheres my fix![]()
Thanks for the kind words! Sorry to dissapoint you guys... Work is keeping me quite busy at the moment, but I have managed to find a couple of hours worth of hobby time. I continued work on the tree, which is shaping up nicely, and I even cleaned up my mordheim board in anticipation of a big game night (coming soon)... I'm also working on a large order of bases. A battle buddy ordered over 300 of them, enough to keep me occupied for some time...
Expect some pics soon (of the finished tree and maybe some other stuff). I hope I don't get distracted too much by the new Empire stuff that's going to be released soon...

wow... that tree looks fantastic!!!![]()
great work!
I have been visiting your Log almost daily since the very beginning. Needless to say, I like it alot .. very inspiring work! I'm looking forward to future updates.
Thanks for the feedback!
As promised a few pics of the tree. I continued work and it's now mostly finished. All the smaller branches will be added after painting (yes, I fully intend to paint it). It's complicated enough, even without all thise smaller brances getting in the way...
All that might need some more attention are the roots...
I also finished my gate. This piece was done quite some time ago, but I added some more details which never actually got painted.
All finished!

Looking very good! (as always)
Tree-mendous stuff
Love the gate. Looks so deceptively simple but works really well. Love the iron working.
It's genuinely one of the nicest gaming board / projects I've ever witnessed (and believe me, I've seen boatloads!)
THAT tree does show promise
Never seen a "boat load" of trees. Sayeee.....don't trees 'usually" grow in the ground...NOT on a boat?
I am therefore I think OR I think therefore I am?
Meh! We all know it's not a 'boatload' of trees. 'Boatload' is the collective noun for gaming boards, derived from times past when they'd all get together and ferry around to the latest conventions in search of someone to play on them.
'Crazy Arborium' is the collective noun for trees. I thought you'd know that![]()
Maybe have one or two small roots freaking fre of the planter box?
no uncommon for old trees to do things like that.
The tree is a beautiful thing.
Your vision for the hobby never ceases to amaze me.
Great work as always.

Thanks!
Thanks! The iron gate can actually move...
Thanks!
Thanks, that's indeed a good idea... The roots could use some attention.
Thanks!
Update time!
A long time ago I built this (working) gallows... The model even got painted some time ago and has seen quite some action, both in Mordheim and on my main table. The only thing I didn't really like about the gallows was the absence of a base...
![]()
I had a spare base, left over from one of my old buildings and decided to add a statue and some smaller items...
Both the barrel and the coffins also featue in my barricades and thus help to further tie this particular piece of scenery to the rest of my collection. The base is also usefull when used on my main table as it shields the gallows from damage and another statue is always good, right?

Sweet! You finished the gallows. I must say it`s by far my most favorite peace of scenery you have. I like gallows!

Now with Airship added!
Thought the gates were 'fully operational'. How did you do that? I'm thinking of doing the same with my Garden of Morr, so any tips would be grateful.
What I love most about your board is the 'feel' of it. Lots of terrain pieces can be beautifully done but yours have real atmosphere, lots of subtle details etc.
Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks! There is more pain on the horizon...
Thanks! Made possible by slave labour...
Thanks! On page 21 I've posted a short tutorial (including a couple of pics) on how to make movable doors and shutters (you should totally check that out). The gates were done in the same way.
