My armies (Eldar and Imperial Guard) Picheavy

Making a small blog with my armies. Both are more or less finished so I'll just post them as I feel for it

First off, some conversions of chimeras to different other tanks. These are completly reversable (being cheap and with a large bit box ).

    Basilisks:

    and reversed to chimeras:

Fantastic work, you have a very earthy style which suits the Imperial Guard well, love the modular tanks!

Mh, the lighting is a bit off on the pics ... the contrast is not that visable in reality (highlights are ultrawhite here, maybe because of the flash .

    Thanks, only joking...

    Badass.

Although I really don't like the bright orange on the weapons. It's the same color they use to designate training weapons. You're shooting blanks, man!

The problem with the photos I guess , it's just your basic blood red. A little tribute to sec. ed. painting

    command squad:

special weapon guardsman, commissar, astropath, commander, master of ordinance, officer of the fleet, commisar, special weapon guardsman

    Background for the army:

    The Sheelow Imperial Guard

About two hundred years ago inquisitor Scerwach arrived at Sheelow, a
barren planet, not far from the Cadian gate. Too small to appear most
imperial maps, the planet fitted Scerwach’s purpose well. Upon arrival
he and his retinue approached the Imperial guard commander and
requisitioned the imperial battleship “The Sturmfaust” and enough men
and material to fill it. Scerwach had heard rumours about a place where
an artefact, sought after by the chaos cult of obliterators, could be
hidden. The destination was the eye of terror.

When the ship returned none of the Guardsmen looked as they had
aged a day since leaving Sheelow. The planet had been involved in a
war with the Eldar of Saimhann, assaulting the planet for unknown
reasons, for a long time. The arrival of “The Sturmfaust” swayed the war
in imperial favour. But soon rumours about the new reinforcements
    started.

That their ship was not only metal, that the machine spirit had really
started to live, changing, repairing and reconstructing the ship by itself.
Scerwach had supposedly melted together with the ship, sitting on a
throne, pierced by cables and mechanics. The inquisitors retinue where
fused and augmented with mechanics and led by the army’s psychers,
further bolstering their arcane powers. Sometimes beast of living metal
appeared on the field, channelling the Sturmfaust’s orbital barrages.
The Commissars of Sheelow Imperial Guard reached the conclusion
that inquisitor Scerwach was now to be regarded as the avatar of the
Emperor God, sitting on a similar throne , kept alive by the machine
gods. That the living ship was a display of the true power of the machine
spirit and the Sheelow regiments chosen as the Emperors finest. Soon it
evolved to a point were all ratlings and ogryns got summoned and
executed by the commissars and priests as mutants, xenos and a
    blasphemy against the Emperor.

Months before the return of the lost regiments a distress call had been
sent from the PDF of Sheelow and the Space wolves answered the call.
As the sons of Fenris descended on Sheelow they met heavy resistance
from the ones they came to save. The High Military command of
Sheelow had decided the wolves’ geneseed to be too corrupt to be
    allowed to continue to exist.

Led by their priest, their commissars and their faith in the Emperors
cleansing fire the Sheelow imperial guard went to war to cleanse the
universe from anything not having a heart pumping pure imperial blood.
For the light of the emperor! Hail the omnissiah and the hammer of the
    Emperor god!

Feel like building something cool that's in the normal guard-codex, but not seen as much... I'd like to build a really nice unit that stand out...
I already have penal legions and vets, psyker battle squad ...
