The Neon Inquisitor Progress log (Witch Hunters)

I have been working on my inquisitor force for many years now, (almost 6 I think), and am now trying to finish it up with a nice paint job.
Here are pictures of the main infantry of my army before painting, except for one squad I painted over two years ago.

My unpainted immolator. I converted this from the left over parts from the Exorcist sprue and a Rhino kit. I still do not like the front part were the green-stuff banner is right now.

I think the modelling skills are their, but the banner has a lack of fluid motion. I would go back and try and get the scroll to 'flow' more.

Re: The Neon Inquisitor Progress log

I have been working feverishly since before I started this thread to paint on of my Troops squads. Unfortunately I am still not finished (after spending time painting six figures' eyes I almost wish I had put goggles on all of them). Hopefully I will have them done and posted by tomorrow.
For now though I here are some pictures of my old Inquisitor, (Made and painted about 5ish years ago), and some of here devoted followers.
And yes I know and Inquisitor is a bad choice to take in the army, but I feel the Inquisitor is a crucial element of for the dark side of the Witch Hunter army.
I will post pictures of the the new Neon Inquisitor figure I have been working on when I can figure out a better lighting system for photos.
As for the immolator, I have decided to do something a little more involved, than just the banner, so I will post photos of that too.

This is my more sensible HQ choice (which I made spring 2008 after realizing just how bad a Inquisitor Lord is on the battle field).

Re: The Neon Inquisitor Progress log

I thought the paint scheme i had used on the other squad was a little too simple so I decided to add a little more flavor to the job. I also took roughly 3 pages of notes on how I painted them so I can hopefully speed up the process on the next squad.

So here is Tabitha's squad 'cobalt redeemers' I also added a little close up of one of the holsters. I am also still working on getting the lighting right for the camera as one can tell from the difference in color between the close up and the other pictures.

Re: The Neon Inquisitor Progress log

Redid the banner on the front of the Immolator. I just signed up for a tournament in the beginning of October, so I have little more than a month to paint 30 minis and two tanks. Not a herculean task, but considering it took nearly three weeks to complete the last squad I posted I am a little worried. I think I will need to buy a desk lamp so I can paint late into the night.

Re: The Neon Inquisitor Progress log

Thanks, I like the way it turned out. I just needed an idea for how it should look. Makes me wish I had not wasted all the green stuff on the first banner.

This is the next squad I am going to be painting minus one Multi-Melta and plus the Heavy-Flamer for the green squad, (I added her after I had already painted it).

And this is the squad I finished despite working around 60 hours this week. I can only guess it was the clouds that ruined the lighting on some of the pictures and turned them too yellow.

Thanks. I wish I could take all the credit, but two green stuff faces are just press molds with a little re-working of the nose and lips.

Quick update of my 6 woman Retributer squad, Luciela's Lavender Cleansers. Plus the Heavy Flamer for the green squad I had posted earlier.
I am a day behind with this squad which is rather annoying as it was 3 figures smaller than the last.
Next up I will be painting all my Seraphim sisters.

Great conversions, and I really like the time you've taken to add a little something to each model.

Hopefully something I could do once I move into a new house and get my Man Cave set up for modeling projects.
