    There oughta be a law...

$46 shipping for an item that weighs a few ounces..?

I happen to know that this will fit into the flat rate small box for $4.95, which means there is a $41 handling fee with it!

I happen to know that a first class international letter to germany with express shipping (meaning within 2 weeks) costs $30 because I just paid one. When I looked at his shipping rates it said 7 bucks to ship to my address in the states....

Shipping within the US seems to be around $7-10 dollars depending on Zip code...

However, the item doesnt seem complete - is there a mast missing?

Hmmmm.... When I look at the shipping to my address in the states, it says $46.95 for priority mail... I certainly hope there is some sort of mistake re: addresses and shipping. Those auctions were beginning to make me lose faith in humanity!

    This bears looking into...

It's things like that which make me think I'm in the wrong line of work. Half the 'pro-painted' minis I see on eBay are actually really badly done, stuff I could do in an afternoon without trying too hard. It's ridiculous.

Very simply because of the power sword leader, plasma gunner and twin sword ganger. It also has the rarer juves too.

You may get the juves and the twin sword ganger in the booster packs from GW, but it is pot luck.

Wow, that's made me want to put my Eschers on there! I've got almost all of those.

Is the twin sword ganger rare? I have it and have never used it in my gang. I also have the bolt-pistol one, and the ganger with a flail (easily the best model!).

I've seen the plasma gunner alone go for £25.

When GW stopped selling them through direct. There are quite a few Necromunda and Mordheim miniatures which are no longer available except through ebay.

Some Eschers, Ash Wasters, multi part van Saars and many others are a license to print money on ebay.

Some things which never got to stores and were direct only like the Spyrer Matriarch and Patriarch and the Necromunda magazine fanatic figures are going for insane prices.

Hmm. I bought a box plus of the Van Saars multi parters awhile back... The Matriarch and Patriarch were pretty *****

Jedi: Let me know if you get gangers that aren't available in the standard gang box please. It has always been quite unclear if the blisters were truly random or just duplicates of models from the box set.

Re: "Oh god that cant be right" ebay auction thread

This has me sorely tempted to unload some of my Mordheim and Necromunda figs. Sadly, my Necormunda collection took a hit ten years ago or so when I sold most of it off, but the fever hit again and I re-collected half a dozen gangs. For those prices, I could live with never playing Escher again...

As for Mordheim, what specifically is the most valuable (aside from the Kislev bear and handler- I've received some ridiculous offers for those, but I'm holding onto them for now).

They are random. They are from the boxset models and the rest of the range. I bought 4 packs last year.

Re: "Oh god that cant be right" ebay auction thread

Some of this Necromunda stuff really surprises me. I just got a batch of 8 Van Saars for $32 Australian (15 pounds). Five of these were the common ones still available direct but three of them were quite rare. I got the Heavy plasma gun, meltagun leader and bolter ganger. I've not seen them come up very often (just once but sold each seperately for $30) so I guess I got a bargain.

I just wish GW could be clearer on which Necromunda models are still available and generally more helpful in this regard. Sadly methinks it may have something to do with profit margins...

Cheers for the info. Time to place a mail order methinks...

I'm no expert, but the Sisters Augur and Bertha Bestraufrung models are both no longer available, and never fail to sell. Mordheim doesn't seem to command the same prices as Necromunda, but others to look out for would include the female Middenheimer Youngblood, the Witch hired sword and the Witch Hunter dogs. The 'rare' warbands - Kislev, Ostlander, and so on - would probably fetch good prices too.

There's a few others that aren't availible, but for the most part they're more 'guaranteed-sale' than 'buy-at-all-costs'; Veskit and the original Warlock are both quite nice. The 'Crow Master' warlock is rare, but also hideous; same with the Amazons. The most common Mordheim model that goes up is Aenur - a shame really because it's a very nice model to paint, but I think it came free with a WD issue so there's tons of them about.

One thing I've never seen is the multi-part Sisters of Sigmar. I'd be really interested in getting some of those.
