Well, the shipping to Belgium was $80 ... that thing is not very heavy, it's in resin ... I'd bet the plinth is heavier than the model![]()

I know it's a collectors edition, but 4 times the retail price after just one month?
Sad, but in the ballpark. This one is the highest one I've seen successfully sell. That was within a few days of release too. Hate to say it, but expect to see prices on this go up for a while.
The saddest thing is that in 4 years the winning bidder will probably do the same thing again, probably putting this one back on ebay to try and raise funds for it, and wonder why they only get £10-20 at most...

Yeah, it will definitely drop in value, but that value will be very dependent on when they sell and who they try to sell to. Take a look at what the 4th & 5th collector's editions are going for in good condition lately. More than 6 months ago they were at an all-time low, but at one point last month they were back up in the $100-150 (US) range. It looks like the frenzy around an edition change is the perfect time to get them out there for the marks... err, I mean enthusiasts looking to have a "complete set."
The one constant I have seen is that anything using the phrase "pro-painted" usually isn't.
Are there genuine professional painters selling items on ebay and elsewhere? You bet. But they are in the constant minority, maybe 1% of the listings. I'm pretty convinced that the folks listing things as "pro-painted" haven't a clue as to what that really means.![]()

I suppose by definition, if they are making money and declaring it as a source of income from painting miniatures and selling them on they are in the technical sense, quality aside 'professional painters'. But that said I very much doubt any of them are. :P
I have bought some models that are just wow! And they fit for the title pro painted.
I got inquisitor coteaz painted in detail and his cape were so nicely painted with patterns in good layering that my friends are in envy. Worth the money and will be joining my Dkok army as an ally.

Nothing amazing but can anyone tell me why it went for so much? I have some Skorne stuff nib I never got round to and was wondering if it is one thing in particular here attracted the bids?

Unless that link is leading me someplace else, I'm not seeing any GF9 stuff on that auction. The tokens included are the standard PP tokens you can get anywhere.
EDIT: It also didn't go for that much...so that must be the wrong link? I'm seeing a token set, a full unit of Karax, a Razor Worm, 3 Ancestral Guardians, and something I can't place.
I'd say that lot should go for $100 or so - might have gone cheap due to the lack of cards for the AGs (and the relatively cruddy picture).
