I think I may need to start ebaying some stuff. The price that those Epic buildings seem to go for is crazy. I (well myself and two other friends) have most of the epic buildings including the Cathedral. The only one we didn't get was the Tank Factory. I think we might need to have a chat about putting these on Ebay.
This thread has been a lot of fun to view and I cannot believe how much some people will pay for models. :-)

Never seen that before, seen the hydra (got one for about £20 on ebay) that was a games day only model right? I know there was a version that came with two alternative right front legs, not sure if that was the only version though. But never seen the palanquin and sorcerer. Is it definitely not a conversion based on the game day hydra?
This is an ugly model, but the hydra was an limited release model, the dark elf sorcerer is an unreleased model, and this is really rare to have the complete howdah. It took to me 2 years to have the howdah at an reasonable price.
And 70 $ for the complete model is really a bargain. I estimate the complete value for around 200 $ .

Possibly didn't help that the seller seems to have forgotten to tag it even as "dark elf".
Excellent that he forget the dark elf tag. Same thing for the "unreleased" tag. Fortunately, I woke up at 4:30 am this morning, so I was on ebay when the auction pop up O/ !

"Hard to find Item!"
I always find it hard to find unreasled things.
I guess it shows the importance of being anal with auction title/descriptions. Looks like an ugly model though, glad it is rare so I don't have to see one in person![]()

I was searching for some Necrons lately, found this ->

Like the way they say Necron ImmortalS, in plural, when it's only one. And the extra large photos to see clearly how shocking the painting is, and how detailed the basing is.
But +1 to them for not saying PRO PAINTED.

Yeah, just checked out CM Wiki; nice buy that for the rarity. Like you say though a model that has dated a bit. I don't think its that ugly though, I've got some WIP pictures of mine on my dark elf log, I quite like it! I guess one of the things with the older minis is you often only see them either unpainted or painted by someone 20 years ago, which doesn't really show them in their best light. Here's a half-decent picture of one put together anyway:

That is a lot of titans, and the BIN is not horrific - I've never seen a collection like this up for sale before.

£5 per dice...yay - ten dice for £50 its a bargin and only £7.50 postage....Although I'm sure the seller will combine postage if you ask nicely
Nate.
What getting me recently is the UK seller who takes models sprays them black and calls this PPR (previously painted and resprayed says nothing about them being stripped though) and then charges more for them than they cost new from the GW site. The example I saw was the DA sergeant with Chainsword and Plasma Pistol that cost a good couple of quid more than it should new. Same seller sells vehicles which to me seem like decent value, but is overpricing single mini's with likely lost detail from the many layers of paint .
I am also looking a lot for old monsters/creatures particularly from the Citadel Fiend Factory line and the BIN prices for these figures are in some cases obscene. I don't get expect to get them for nothing but whoever is listing at these prices is optimistic to say the least.
