I think it might be that the listing is pretty clearly an AoBR marine set with an extra tac squad and a five man assault squad. Judging by Canadian prices it actually cost about $150CDN.

Well he said you were getting a deal... just neglected to add the word 'bad'.![]()
My 40k Project Log - currently painting Crimson Fists and My (dodgy) modular CoD table project log.
On Games Workshop's Australian prices:
Ah, fair enough then...
It works out at $242.50 according to the Canadian GW site.
Except the orks are either not being sold or are sold in another auction. Also there are the rules, etc. For simplicity I divided the cost of AoBR by two - in reality the orks have probably 2/3 of the plastic in the box.
$118.75/2 (AoBR) +$39.50 (Assault) +$44.75 (Tactical) =$143.625CDN

Unfortunately (for me) the price of metal models is still holding up on ebay.
I would have thought that this chap would have got more for his Praetorians if he had split up the job lot into squads of ten.
I would guess that £25 per sqaud of ten is the current rate (which compares to GW current price of £25-50 for ten Tallarn or £20-50 for ten Vossies/Mordian/Steel Legion).
But what makes me smile are the early bidders who bid £1 or £10 and then are never heard of again - do they really think that they are going to be so lucky?

Believe it or not, it happens. Two weeks ago I got something for 1GBP which normally goes up to 10-15. I got items for 12€ which normally go up to 35. So... yea, it does happen.

So true I've just got 4 pariras and 4 warriors plus a scarab swarm for under £4 and a metal classic shokk attack gun mech complete for £4 so you can get good deals but some I see well £15 for 4 scarab bases I mean WTF.
£20for 10 wraith guard so it does happen and you do get lucky, then of course there was that time where I accidentally and hilariously entered a maximum bid of £60 rather than 60p for a single warpspider![]()

No. I do that to avoid watching an item. I always bid on an item with an 1/2 £ bid on it to see the final price of it. My "item I watch" is always empty.
I am Interested in any unreleased citadel miniatures, please feel free to PM me if you have anything interesting.

For me ? No difference. I just hate watching item. I prefer bid on them, so they are saved in my "item I didn't won" if I didn't won them.

I got an un-opened RT01 box for less than £20... So low bidding does sometimes work. If I was intelligent I would have just whacked it on Buy it now for a hundred :P. Sadly, I'm a collector and opened it ^_^.
I also went through a phase a few years back of buying the old 80's box sets cheap. Many of the 1st ed 40k/2nd and 3rd ed WFB unit boxes can sell for peanuts, just because people don't look out for them.
Not as silly as some of the ones mentioned previously, but I found http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ht_1470wt_1396 pretty absurd.
Either the seller genuinely has no clue that the figure is still available, or is deliberately trying to rip off ill informed buyers.
The seller has a ton of listings for individual minis from the set - any two of which are more expensive than just buying the full set of 12 from GW - http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/ca...Id=prod1120049

Whats so fail about that it's glued at an odd angle on the leg but not a bad price.
The squig on the bottom normally has the right foot raised, whereas here the model is leaning forward onto it. Between that and the weird angle of the top squig- is this an assembly issue, or a cheap and shoddy materials issue? (sagging due to the generally terrible design of the squigs cast in flexible material)Whats so fail about that it's glued at an odd angle on the leg but not a bad price.
As it is, unless there's a large pin involved, the connecting leg of the top squig will not hold over the long term. To be fair I don't think the seller has any responsibility here, and the picture is clear.
Edit:
Just found this one- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Warhammer-...item4ab6f8c7da
Not rare, not fully metal (they appear to be Dark Eldar arms) and definitely not 'Pre-Slotta'. I don't think this person even knew what they were trying to say with 'Pre-Lotta' repeated a few times. 'Painted' and 'Excellent condition' are also quite generous...
At least it's fairly cheap.
