In his defence he does say that they are converted...

My bugbear with Ebay is people who sell models when you can buy them cheaper from GW, for example:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WARHAMMER-STON...item5626a62822

Currently retailing at £12 on the GW site, and has been for long time...

Considering I bought the same model for less than £30 quite recently

Me too, I still have it in the box. The one on ebay doesnt even have its scenic base.

ha ha if anyone wants to give me that kinda money for it I'd be happy to sell!

A shipping travesty. Likely weighs about three ounces.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...id=p2759.l1259

I'm curious whether this comes in a velvet lined shipping crate...

He also has an army which ships for $47, regular mail, continental US.

Granted those are highly collectible, the seller knows that and is seeking to pad his wallet with some outrageous shipping methinks.

Did the listing change or are you talking about the 6.95 shipping charge? I mean, yeah 7 dollars is a lot, but it's not in the realm of the ridiculous imo.

And shipping is always high on Ebay - because Ebay takes a cut of the final bid price but not the shipping cost.

The worldwide shipping is $30. Dunno why it's so much cheaper in the states.

Because it'll go on a plane and usually gets there withing 2 weeks. My 'rents send me stuff from the states and it costs about the same depending on what's in side. If you choose "snail mail" there's no way to track it, and it gets loaded on a cargo ship and I've had small boxes take up to 2 months to get to Germany.

No, I'm talking about the 11.95 shipping charge for a tiny little lot of Warmaster figures. The seller replied to my query about the shipping and said it'll go Priority ($4.95 flat for a lot that small) and the remainder- $7 is for handling.

    For $7, I don't want handling, I want fondling...

Take a look at the shipping charges on this one:
    24 Fire Warriors + 36 Kroot

It appears that the buyer is attempting to game the eBay system by charging $99 postage (in the US, don't want to think about overseas shipping) and subtracting your winning bid. Buyer reported.

In this particular case, Kislevites are OOP in favor of Araby for Warmaster, and are still a fairly popular army. Well, for Warmaster anyway.

It's weird, no matter how old, poorly painted or downright strange the models are, they are always "A fantastic Warhammer item"...

But do they come in the same boxes? I feel not - they look like the original release packaging, and so may be worth more to collectors....

Crube: I guess so. You would certainly know the value of a box.

I see it as how easily something could be replaced if you wanted to do so tomorrow. The more difficult that is to achieve, the more "Collectable" an item is, so the greater value it has to the collector. It doesn't mean the item is actually worth anything, just that someone is willing to pay a certain amount at a certain time.
