    Khorne Lord

    Lukas the Trickster

I know Lukas isn't a Chaos model, but I wanted to post him and didn't want to start a new blog for only 2 pics.

This is off to such an amazing start! I love the flames or "spirit" coming from those marines with the GS and the beaked daemon prince is wickedly put together.

Update: Here is a Chosen test model for the Paint scheme. Let me know what you guys think.

Again, thanks for all the positive feedback that you have given me, I will try and get an army shot posted when I have the time. The majority of my Thousand Sons are finished.

I love the falmes, really look unique. However i am not a fan of the large white robe on a thousand son marine, and think you should, you know make it look more tzeentch. Eg: gold lining, symbols etc etc.
    Other than that great work.
    Tyruin out.

I took in to consideration the color of the robe and I decided to try a few washes over it. I first painted a purple wash, then once that dried a blue one, and this is the result that I got.

I think it looks great, but the flash drowned out the contrast.

I also promised an army shot

I have been collecting this army since 2005 and since then my painting skills have improved and GW discontinued my base color of storm blue so that is why some are darker than others. The army consists of
1 Daemon Prince, 1 Lord on Disc, 1 Chosen, 6 Terminators, 5 Possessed, 1 Dreadnaught, 2 Units of thousand sons with rhinos, 19 Lesser Daemons, 7 Raptors, 2 Spawn (1 of which I didn't paint), 2 Obliterators, 1 Land Raider, 1 Predator, and 1 Vindicator.
What I have left to paint are 2 Sorcerer Lords in Terminator Armor, 9 Chosen, 6 Terminators, 1 Squad of Thousand Sons, 2 Raptors, and 1 Defiler. I still need to get 2 more Rhinos for my unfinished squad of Thousand Sons and the Chosen and maybe one more obliterator just to flush out the squad.

Re: Tzeentch Loyalist's Little Chaos Blog.

Hi, just a few words of advice to give to a fellow Son of Tzeentch:

Firstly, I feel the rhino's storm bolter could do with having its barrells drilled out.

Secondly, it could be me but the patch of yellow on the Tzeentch Daemon Prince's foot (which is exceptionally well converted and looks fantastic, by the way!) looks a little patchy, could be me though.

Finally, the bases look a bit too plain with just the flock, maybe you could add some rocks, some barbed wire, or something to break up the green?

Otherwise, I love your army - the colours contrast very well with each other to make a fantastically Tzeentch-looking and shape-shifting army of change. I really like how you've done the Chosen - awesome!

Re: Tzeentch Loyalist's Little Chaos Blog.

Thank you for the kind comments Tiller5. I will look at my drill bit and see if it is small enough to drill out the bolters on the rhino's, If not I will leave them the way they are, i don't want to ruin the model because my bit was too big (stop snickering). As for basing, that has always been my weakness in modeling, but I am ok with them as is. For my rank and file troops, I don't mind a plain base, but I will try and rectify that in the future and might pick up the basing kit from GW. Does anyone have any opinion on the basing kit?

As for the Daemon Prince, that was the first model I did for my thousand sons. This was before foundation paints and washes which I think are amazing. I think I was going for a flame look and not necessarily for a solid yellow. Plus the quality of the photo was pretty poor and I blame that on my skill (or lack thereof) as a photographer.

No problem, I'l always endeavour to help a fellow follower of the Changer of the Ways!

The basing kit is fantastic - you get two different pots of slate, one with large chunks and one with fine slate, plus two pots of resin parts like discarded helmets, eldar runes and other such things. Even if you just added some bits of sprue that look like rocks it would help to break up the green a little.

As for the Daemon Prince, do you intend on going back to it? As you said, I think a couple more coats of yellow would just make it look a bit more solid and less patchy.

It's been awhile but I decided to paint my sorcerer lord model. C&C are always welcome.

I'm still working on the base and would like suggestions.

I love the overall look of this guy. The cloak is fantastic, and I really like the green effect on the base.

I plan on finishing the 4 with flames sometime in the near future, time permitting, and I have another 5 guys in robes to fill out chosen squad.

This is a WIP and I am stuck on what to do next. Besides the base, I feel that the models seems incomplete and I do not know what it is missing. C&C welcome.

    Thanks again for looking.

Nice so far. Maybe you coud pickout the skulls on the shoulders and arms. Also the casing on the bolter and chainsword a different colour might help.

    Keep it up

Perhaps black, but it brings them too close to the Emperor's Children.

Nice, what model is the privateer press one? I've been planning a daemon prince conversion and I think I may have found the legs/torso.... (Seriously, everyother bit the legs I had ideas of what to do/bits to use).
