My new 40K/Necromunda terain board - A tank Farm

like the title says, my latest project for my expanding 40k/Necromunda board set..

I intend to make a "tank Farm" to clarify i am talking about something along the lines of the Buncefield storage faccility that went boom in the uk a few years back....

some WIPs are already up on terragenesis, but i will be adding more info to both sites as i go along

pics and WIP to follow as soon as i get the camera back off my wench.....

as promissed here are some picks of progress so far.....

as you can see the perimetre fence is more or less sorted the access road is laid out where a plan on putting it and the pumping/filling station is starting to take shape..... and the pillar for an observation tower near the gate is done....

I am planning to make all the pipe work either overhead, with attached gantrys for necro playabillity, or suggested underground, to keep the ground space open for 40k playabillity.... let me know what you think, suggestions are always appreciated...

Ok so progress has been slower than i might like but hey ho.....

The watch tower now has a top basically a flat platform, top is textured with a diamond plate styrene sheet and then railings made from wire mesh have been added

also some pipe work, ladders and railings have been added to one of my tanks...

and a quick comparison shot of my ladder next to a COD one, treaders are wider spaced on mine but i don't think it looks to out of wack.....

Looks like you have some really good ideas here.
I especially like how you did the ladders.
I live on a former tank farm that went Boom in the 1920s and there still cleaning up the oil.

Amazing details. I just hope it stands up to the rigors of gaming.

this project has been cancelled...... most of the component parts are now at my FLGS in their terrain box......

If any mod wants to delete it thats fine with me...... I don't know if or how to myself......
