Right, as a sort of kick up the proverbial to get myself back into painting, me and my mates are planning a 2,000 point army in 2 months. Hopefully this will happen, but i personally think it'll take a while longer.

The plan is from September 1st to November 1st.

Lineup:

After this, i'll use this plog to upload whatever else i'm doing, including space hulk, Skaven, Orks, random single miniatures.

Blood Angels, i don't really want to demolish the models just to paint them up as another Chapter, and because i've got 20 unpainted marines, i might as well paint them us as Blood Angels as well.

and the rest of the army (sans Russes, got 3 converted Vanquishers, 1 FW Vanquisher turret, 2 other Russes in waiting. Got 6 off eBay for sweet FA

I spent about 20 minutes and 40 odd pictures to get these two, they are the best of the bunch I s**t you not. I'm using my mates camera, so i'll be buggering around on it all day to try and get some better pictures.

Grey Seer for my fledgling Skaven force (Its currently him, Veskit, 20 WIP Globadiers and a Jezzail) I'm really annoyed about this picture, because it doesn't show any of 2 hours of ruddy blending from Grey to Beige. Gah!


Stompa! My Uni mates usually chip in together to get a large prezzie for people's birthdays, and this was mine! No pictures, but i'm working on a platform system on his back, need H sections and chains to finish it off, the thing on his head is a control board. Basically, its a Big Mek stomap, where the Bad Moon Big Mek got annoyed at building "ded killy gunz and stuff" and made something "ded hakky" The platforms at the back are going to be crawling with Gretchin and Meks trying to fix the thing as it gets shot at. I've got 2 Shoulder Kan guns that haven't been assembled yet and the converted Chainsaw arm still needs the pipes done.


My Chaos Daemonic Steed. Most of my force has been sold, but i'm proud of this one piece. My original idea for a Daemonic Steed was done by someone else, so I thought i'd give this a shot. The back legs from 2 Chaos Steeds, While Lion head and tail, and a fair bit of Greenstuff.

Vanquishers, 2 of 3. Generic stowage, both were from eBay and still have clumps of random glue and dodgy track sections that need fixed as well as other miscellaneous gaps and mouldlines that need fixing.

One more guardsman, a Russian themed army needs molotovs, so there you go. The flame fell off, he needs the mouldlines taken off the bottle and a lasgun added.

My Commissar Lord (Lady?). Faith in the Emperor is one type of inspiration, but a scantly clad chick who'll shoot you dead from running is a whole different ball park.

Got to say the guard are excellent, really interesting conversions that work suprisingly well especially the guy with the molotov. Might have to see if I have any handgunners lying around..

Right, an epic thread rez is in order. With Uni finished, a crippling lack of money and nothing to do for a month until I get my results and work out what I need to retake i've got some time to model, so here goes. I've got the COG Battlebox from Rackham, these are low priority, meaning i'll be working on these when i'm sick of other stuff. The RAM stuff from Rackham (army box and heroes) are next up in the priority scale. Then comes the Mantic elves, they've been boxed for a while and need demouldlining and assembly, and painting, well, everything basically. Then basing. Then tryanids, i've got 20 Gargoyles, 2 Lictors and a Trygon to assemble and paint, mainly for show. Then comes the Skaven, i've got 130 Clanrats clipped off the sprue and i'm waiting for 8th edition to come before assembling them. With the rumours of hordes rules it seems like 3 units of 50 with spears, meaning they can attack in 4 ranks (2 basic, 1 for spears and 1 for horde). Joint priority is my Guard and Blood Angels. Guard are going to be the long haul, with every guy as seen above taking an hour or so, whilst blood Angels taking 20 minutes each (cleaning and the odd bit of robe/gothicness). Top priority is my Cryx for Warmachine.

Reaper Helljack WIP. With all the jacks, i'm trying to work out how to finish off the armour, one coat seems perfect, but feels to lazy.

Slayer Helljack

Slayer Helljack again, just a rough shot to help me work out how the bright green would work with the more neutral green. Pretty well.

Nightmare Helljack; Its name reflects both its ability on the battlefield as its ease to assemble, ruddy arms kept on falling off, so I filled the gap with a massive amount of Greenstuff.

Leviathan Helljack, very good at making heavy jacks lose a system a turn. Its just been undercoated and dusted.

2 Deathrippers. White one is from eBay and waiting for a white spirit bath, broken one is waiting for a jaw from the plastic kit, whenever that gets released.

Box o' Helljacks. Has one metal slayer and the other 4 torsos will make one Slayer, one Seether (conversion nicked from this guy's thread)

Goreshade the Bastard and his Deathwalker (scantly clad dead ladyfriend) Waiting for me to get round to making him stand up straight and wield the sword instead of him leaning on it hunched over.

WIP Skarlock Thrall, its very early days, I just don't like the stock model. It'll be hunched over holding a soul cage.

Classic Satyxis raider. Picked these up cheap from eBay thinking they'd work with the current ones. Not to break from the usual, I was horribly wrong. They were assembled horribly, most of the faces were covered in glue where the horns were glued on, and even then most were missing horns, this is my first attempt to try and fix them. Not too happy.

Same as above. You're not getting a different caption, its the same bloody model!

Madelyn Corbeau (middle) and 2 Ghost Raiders. The colours are there just to give me an idea where to go, the skin will be paler.

Warwitch Siren, this was going to be my second version, hence the conversion work, but in a cruel twist of fate, the first one I ordered took extra long to get to me due to the Cryx book delays.

Same model, different angle. She still needs the back of her head done and the Witch Barbs added.

What else I have to do for my cryx, basically there is 6 Ghost Raiders, 8 Revenant Pirates, 3 Black Ogrun, 6 Bane Thralls, 10 Bloodgorgers, 12 current Satyxis with 2 Satyxis Sea Witches, pSkarre, eSkarre, 1 Stalker bonejack, 6 Bane knights, 10 Satyxis Blood Witches, The Withershadow combine, Bane Lord Tartarus, Necrosurgeon and 3 Stitch Thralls, 2010 Asphyxious, Revenant Cannon, Witch Coven of Garlghast and Mortenebra and Derylss.

Librarian Dread WIP. I need to make a Force Weapon, finish the Sarcophagus and "roof"

Dread sans hand. Those fingers are fiddly little buggers to demouldline.

Death Company Dread, converted from an AoBR Dread, the cool Lightning Claw style claws are ruddy great Chainsaws, should produce enough blood for the nutter.

Furioso Dread, had him leaning to scoop up some unlucky heathen. He has a Heavy Sentinel's sights on top so he can at least pretend to look at what he is hitting.

Greenstuffed Pneumatics. I'll add some guitar wire to make it look less rubbish.

More relaxed arm.

Assault Cannon dread. (will be) made from the Venerable Dread. I liked the archway decorations on the sprue and gave this dread all of them, looks suitably cool in my opinion.

Assault Cannon converted from the Seismic Hammer and a Terminator Assault Cannon. I just wanted something that looked different.

Sergeant of the squad, the first guy I assembled for the army, which is why there are so many pictures because he is that damn cool.

Side shot. I wanted it to look like he'd just landed and was shooting at someone before charging.

View of the jump pack. Didn't like the wings, they're Blood Angels in name, Salamanders aren't lizards, Black templars aren't all black and imperial Fists aren't some dodgy porn stuff (I was searching google images once, got into the double digit pages with safe search off and found some weird stuff, kinda put me off Imperial Fists) so I left them off and was chuffed when it looked alright.

Bolt pistol. 'nuff said.

The second guy assembled,I really like him, looks like a brick s**t house. the Space wolf head adds to the level of detail on him and makes him look a bit more veteran. He is one of the Melta Bomb guys in the Squad.

Second Melta Guy squad. He still needs some robes added to him, the Iron Hand torso fits well with the Chaos Lord head.

Power Sword guy. He was going to have the cool Venerable Dread head, but I lost that, so he got the less cool one. The crappy one is somewhere on a Tactical Marine.

Power fist guy. The pose looks a bit off, but I like it as it adds a bit of weight to the power fist. He has a Scout bolt pistol to add some variety to the squad's guns. He still needs the torso cables sculpted.

Marine with an old boltgun, i'll add some variety to the guns, i'm converting some Land Raider crusader bolters into hand held ones to add some variety.

Marine with Sanguiniary chap torso. I'm aiming for a Blanchesque feel to the army, so expect alot of gothic trappings.

Tac with a rob sculpted on, just to break up the leg area. I really like the cabled torso, so i've brought and found alot of them for this force.

AoBR marine converted to be a lefty. Because noone is really a lefty in 40k, probably to do with the average lifespan being several years less than righties, meaning they souldn't make it past recruitment...
