In the original starter set called The Fellowship of the ring. what came inside it. and what was the rulebook like.
The figures in the box were the Warriors of the Last Alliance box, and 24 moria golbins. In addition, you got some ruins, dice, rulers and the book. The book was good in my opinion. But the game suffered from the fact that it was at that point, only a scenario driven game, since there were much fewer troops available at the time of the FOTR films.
Still, it got me interested in the game! So I give it a thumbs up!
