I've done some of them myself, they came out quite well but the arms are a pain to position sometimes. The problem is the arms are the only part of the Cadian sprue you use (apart from accessories) is the arms, which means you (a) pay an awful lot for some arms and (b) end up with lots of armless but otherwise perfectly usable Cadians, but no-where to get extra arms from!

Actually, I was able to make about 13 Bretonnian-IG (otherwise known as the Caranaith Ironheads) by using only the spare arm pairs I had left from one box of Cadians and one heavy weapon squad. And I still have arms to spare.

You can ask all you want but if it's in the wrong forum expect your posts to be moved/deleted as appropriate.

In this case i've split the off topic discussion into another thread

    Re: Bretonnian-IG

To answer the question: I actually mostly cut off the Bretonnian shoulders to gain a nice, smooth surface for putting the basic Cadian arms onto. It required a bit of jiggling and finessing especially with the flamer and grenade launcher, but I was able to make 13 Guardsmen, one Inquisitor and three Crusader Henchmen from one box, plus one Cadian body plus spare arms.

    Here's a picture:

For a few guys, I spliced the arm at the elbow, but it was too difficult to get two-handed poses using that method. Plus I think the shoulder pads give the army a touch of modern. As you can see, the squad also has a heavy weapon, on a bitz-built carriage. For that, I chopped one bretonnian in two and affixed the torso onto Cadian kneeling legs. The lower half was joined with a Cadian torso, so nothing went to waste.

And for a bonus, I got a decent Inquisitor:
