I noticed that the forum had been down for a few days (I click the link and get a blank screen). Does anyone know if this is standard downtime or something more serious?
Warhammer Empire were contacted by legal recently for using trademarks in their forum name. Have the warhammer forum gone the same way?

More precisely, the home page shows up fine but clicking the link to the actual forum (or trying to access forum topics directly) just gives me a blank screen.

As for TWF, it's been hit-and-miss for months, I often run into "board currently disabled" on there (usually in the middle of reading a thread).
I'm pretty sure this is nothing to do with GW legal.. they wouldn't want to take down a bunch of online forums and annoy thousands of their customers for the sake of the word "warhammer" in a URL.
Generally the trend seems to be to go for niche things, like vassal, or that awesome remake of the space hulk PC game.

Yea....that post was just me being inflammatory and seeing if I could get someone to tell me what was really happening.
But it turned into a mature discussion of copyright law.

For me its on sometimes, off sometimes. Probably a hosting/server issue - or could be a revamp?
I wonder what GW legal do when somone sets up a site dedicated to producing early 10th century warhammers
Nothing because it isn't infringing on their trademarks or copyrights. A site containing a trademark or copyright dedicated to their IP may and they have to protect it.
Anyone else finding there are still problems with viewing this?

dunno whats going on. I can see it from home pc (vist/ffox), but not from work (xp/ie) or work no corporate (xp/fox, using same ISP as home) Rather annoying really.

Same here, title page but blank index.
Looks like a hosting problem, hopefully they'll fix it soon.
It's been working for me without issue. I'm using Windows Vista and IE8.
If some people can access the forums it sounds like it's a DNS issue to me then. Depends on how often your ISP updates their dns lists, or something like that.
Still getting precisely that. Whats up with that?!?
