My Imperial Guard army (all WIP)

A few friends said i should post my gaurd army up here so here it is! :L

one little rule before you go any further, refer my salamander to a warthog and i will get really annoyed, so please, please, PLEASE dont say its a warthog, its cause of folk like you that im not making another one! YEAH I BLAME YOU!!!!!! no not you HIM!!! no not you! the guy on your right! yeah him! DAMN YOU MAN!!!!!!!

Woah, stop buying and start painting. that infantry will kill you. i like your salamander, good idea. what camo are you doing for them, where are they from etc give us loads of stuff

thats only two battle forces and a few odds n ends, i plan to start paintin when i figure out what colours i like, im goin for a desert camo look.

right now am kinda playin with ideas, 1 i have is that there mercs, they are still loyal to the emporer but the extra income (money, weapons, armour, tech) is to much to turn down. and im still workin on this idea lol

and i still havnt put up the WIP pics of some other stuff, but im gona wait till there closer to completion lol

You're going to have fun doing all that painting... trust me, don't be too adventurous with the colour scheme, make sure you can paint it quickly

Again, kudos on the salamander, its the best conversion of that style I've seen as of yet, and it gave me an idea of my own for a similar conversion with a LS Storm...

But yeah, waiting to see it painted!

the only reason it looks like a warthog is cause of the rear axles! i got the idea from a US army HumV, it was a practise model so the next 2 will be different, 1 wont have a roof and the other im thinkin half and half or mayb like a panther (for those who dont know what the panther is, its a UK army (dont know if the US use it) vehicle with a remote controlld turret on top)

@Zirnitra: i have a WIP salamander command vehicle usin the land speeder storm. was gona close it off all together but it proved to hard so im leavin the sides exposed so its kinda like a relief truck

will keep you all posted on what happens with it

quick update, college has been kicking my ass! (who ever thought 101110010 could be such a pain in the bloody ass!) plus work has been makin progress slow as well , so iv not had much time to get the tester paintd and posted which is rather guttin cause i want to get at least 1 platoon and a half paintd before i buy any more stuff, the only blessin is that im skint lol

so as soon as hes painted he will be put up for you all to see lol just a small heads up, my paintin skills are not the best lol so be prepared to see some pretty dodgy paintin skills XD

at the amount of good feed back im gettin from the salamander then im goin to have to! lol

will do one when im makin the second one, except it will be for a basic one. pretty much the one iv made plus i need to get the drivers up, plus the WIP so my works cut out for me, but all the good feed back is eggin me on to get paintin

will be buyin the pack of 5 guardsmen thingys so i can get more testers. but apart from that im rather happy considerin i havnt painted a model in god knows how long and half the paints where thick and had to use a reallllllly bad brush!

well i did say i would have an update today buuuuuuut it turns out my local GW is closed on wednesdays and i cant get time to go tomorrow soooooo friday (fingers crossed) i can get up there and buy whats needed

but anyway as promisd the WIP, its only the salamander command cause i havnt found the time to start my other stuff sadly



and the flamer turret (inspired from the panthers turret)

Your gonna need a **** load of spray paint for those guys lol.

update time

iv spent the last two days spray paintin the army and have almost a full infantry platoon paintd, the devlan mud wash has made a big difference along with a foundation paint mwhahahahahahahaha!

will have the squad up once there finishd
