That skin tone on that Dragonspawn is quite amazing, I suspect you used several washes to achieve that?

I like the scheme on all aspects, however I'd recommend you to introduce a third color - how about a dash of green/blue to it??

    Re: BlueWolf74727's Log of everything

there is blue pink and white on the flesh and the black has a brown shadow effect so all in all i have five colours on the mini though my photo taking skills could use some refinement

plus i haven't done the claws yet they will be a dark bone colour

    Thanks

    Re: BlueWolf74727's Log of everything

Hey mate, you have a serious collection there!!! Your right it'll take a WHILE to get it all done, but the time taken doing it will be well worth it in the end!!!!

My recommendation to you would be to devide up the models into easily recognisable parts/ armies/ squads. Then keep record of how far through each of your parts/armies/squads you are in PiP (I did this using excel). EAch time you paint a model you mark it on your record. Everytime you complete a model you will visually see the number of models left to paint go down and the amount completed go up! Its a great motivator and prevents you from "giving up" when you are very close to finishing it all off! << I had to do this myself last year. I spent 6 months painting for at least 1 hour every day (more or less) and finished of 200+ models to a fairly decent standard.>>

One further thing i would suggest for a large collection is to time yourself doing models. Time yourself doing JUST the first layer of paint. Then time how long it takes to finish first highlights on everything. Then time yourself how long it takes to put 2nd highlights on stuff. Once you have these times you can do some "simple" math and figure out how many hours is left to go to get the desired effect you want. You then have to decide to spend MORE hours a day painting or finish each model to a lesser standard.

Either way i look forward to your progress and keep up the good work

nice work on the skulls and the sword so far. I think it'll be hard to tell much until more of the model is done, but looks like good progress!
