Black Templar with a medieval touch

Hello there I want to share the pictures of my new project with you, I decided to stop my tallarn for a moment and do this army instead, but i will for sure go back to my tallarn

I want to give my black templars a used look and a dirty torn armor, in additional I will take a lot of parts of the bretonian knights.. my plan is to only have those heads in my marines, sorry paladins Also I had in mind to do a bike squad with lances which look more like a medieval cavalry.

Will do an army worth of 1500 points, so I can paint some terminators with the shields from forge world but I do not like the hammers I will try to give them flails instead.. I have something in my mind and will tell you when I know that it looks cool

So basicly I will have one bike squad, 2 infantry squads, one termi squad, and I will put in one laser predator to have a bit of anti-tank.

Re: Black Templar with a medieval touch

Here come my first part of the pics of the boys, I decided not to change the head of the champion cause I really like the original one, so he will be an outcast in the army since he has no true crusader helm as the rest of the army. The other one is a banner, I want ta have a banner in each squad cause I like the idea of a banner to be sanding till there is none there to pick it up again.

    Here goes the champion

Nice work, I like the theme - and you've got quite a nice white going there - not too thick or grainy as is often the trouble. Keep it up!

Nice work mate, the white's come out really nice, which is a problem for a lot of people, and the standard looks really cool with the bretonian parts.

The Banner guy looks good, the bullet holes in the shields are a nice touch.

I am happy too how they turned out, and that the white is so smooth. Takes alot of going over to get it that way ^^

Holy freaking greatest (GW scale) space marines ive ever seen! Not to be rude to anybody else, but that is possibly one of the single greatest ideas ever! It almost makes me want to drop my guard army and buy a black templar one! The only problem is that I've put too much love into my guard army. That doesnt rule out using fantasy bits in future additions. Great stuff dude. You motivate me.

Neophyte looks good, tho thats one big world he's in

how did you find attaching his head to the body? the neck on those heads seems like it would need to be trimmed down a bit, does it? ( im talking about before you built/painted that one)
