The scheme works well pal, certainly binds the old and new models together! Me likes!!!

Oh have no fear, there will be more Elysians, I have a Veteran squad to post up, as well as a missile launcher squad and some las cutters/count as melta gunners.
I've got some surprises for the regimental advisors too, I'm itching to paint them first but I have to be strong!!!

Apologies for the double post, but I've just remembered that I didn't post up any pictures of my Elysian infantry squad. In my army list, they currently fill the role of Veterans with the Demolitions proficiency.
I still need to finish the bases and add a highlight to their lasguns, but otherwise they're done.

Elysians are looking good. I like the dark tone you went for, special ops should wear such colours! They might be a little hard for the wallet (says the man with multiple pre heresy armies), but they look so good as a completed army.

Thanks DPA - coming from an excellent painter such as yourself, your praise means a great deal.
I've managed to finish my Pretorian platoon HQ along with their commissar, pics are below for your perusal. I'm halfway through writing some fluff for the force as a whole and will post that up when finished, for now though, the pics
C and C welcomed as always![]()

Thanks buddy, don't worry, the BA's will be getting some love next month, I've got a mk3 Sternguard squad and Razorback to paint for the Bolter and Chainsword's annual painting challenge.

Very nice models punkfish.... the praetorians are really good looking!!! only drawback I personally find is that the color scheme blends too much with the base... my opinion of course! Your models are nicely painted!
Ah.... your marines instead are fabulous!!! I love the red not so bright you used on them and NMN is really cool!

Loving the look of the praetorians, great work. A darker colour choice than usual for them, makes them look tough and gritty!!

@epsylon2004 - thanks for the kind words, I know what you mean about the bases, I had the same reservations too. I'm going to leave them as is for the present as I want to get the whole army ready for the table-top. I've had the Guard army on ice for at least 10 years so it'd be nice to just get the force onto the battlefield. I might add some extra touches to the bases in order to bring in a bit more colour though.
@eltanko - cheers buddy, I wasn't sure if the colour scheme would work initially, the original scheme was all black, much like the early 20th century constable but I decided that I needed to add red as a spot colour to integrate them with the Elysians.
