Those HQ models look fantastic especially tycho, good work.
Right, short update here - painting time has been fairly hard to arrange recently but I've managed to weather up my Baal Predator. Pics will be up for that tomorrow.
The B and C are running a painting vow again this year (I took part last year and enjoyed it muchly). I've vowed to finish my Sternguard Squad, Razorback transport and my Vindicator Line Breaker Sqdn. I will also be posting pictures of my progress here.
Your support and comments as always will be appreciated

Sorry for the double post, as promised, here's the pics of the Baal Predator with some added weathering. The camera seems to have made the red brighter than it is but hopefully you get the idea.
As always, c and c welcomed. Thanks guys

@ilikebmxbikes - thanks for the input dude, Your army is coming together really well, it's nice to see so many BA armies springing up
I've made some progress on my Veteran Assault Squad w. Bolters (otherwise known as Sternguard)
Here's some pics for your perusal
All 5 together - front 2 are a bit blurry
2 with red armour nearly finished
This squad is being painted up with a Heavy Bolter Razorback as transport and is part of my commitment to the Bolter and Chainsword annual painting challenge
Comments welcomed as always - thanks for reading

Everytime I see those sternguard I'm more tempted to get them. Yours may need a tiny bit of fine lining, if its not camara trickery, just to sharpen them up. I think putting a little bit of orange foilage on the bases would liven the whole mini up.

Get a box of Sternguard, they're really really nice models and great fun to paint too.
I think some of it is camera trickery as the armour plates do look more defined in real life. I'll get some close ups though so you can see what you think.
As for the foliage - I normally use the standard static grass - the green seems to contrast nicely with the red and gives the effect I want.

Cheers Pete, although careful or I'll start asking questions about your BL force.....
If the rumoured sprues are anywhere near as good as I've heard, I may as well forget about ever re-starting my guard army. I shall be a happy bunny come April time

Three Vindicators. Fearsome to face on the table... not my cup of tea with BAs, though. What are you planning to do with Brother Bob´s robo-pet?
Well, I used to have a lot of success with running a Baal/Vindicator combo. We'll see if the option to mount a flamestorm cannon changes that though.
I'm only doing the three so that I can use them in Apoc games.
As for the Robo-pet. I think he's going back into his box to await GW's long rumoured Dino-riders unit. Then I'll break him out again![]()

Hmm those models are looking fantastic, especially the Sternguard... and the new codex allows them proper use too!!
Love the vindicators.... should cause a lot of worried opponents..
Continue the great work..
Best wishes,
Carl
Thanks for the kind words Carl, the Sternguard was a bit of a fluke, I liked the models so much, I couldn't not paint them, so when I found out that they were in the codex too, it was a win win.
Anyway, here's a pic of my army as it stands so far....
and a pic of the Armoured units
For some reason, my painting pile isn't diminishing as quickly as I'd hoped
