It's probably just a crate of the new packs, you can (or at least could) buy the packs in bulk.

Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

The way mosterpocalypse is packaged you can buy one of these crates & be garunteed to get at least 1 of every mini for every faction. Usually 4-6 people buy them together & split the factions so everyone ends up with a complete army.

A specialist in the acquisition of lore from the dead, Lord Exhumator Scaverous is one of the most potent and intelligent servants of the Nightmare Empire. Souls are both ammunition and fuel for Scaverous. Those he slays and casts aside are fortunate compared to any possessed of special lore, whose skulls and souls he preserves for horrific necromantic interrogation.

Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

So he's a tiny Helljack with suitably awesome filligree and exhaust. Yet he's still a bit heavy on flat-space, which odd as he's pretty detailed otherwise. He's calling out for some freehand.

I like his face - a lot of character.

Not my favorite Cryx 'caster and certainly won't be my favorite Wrath 'caster model - but he's not bad. Definitely more entertaining than Venethrax.

Also - attached a larger image for quick looks.

Great looking mini, the pose is a bit static though.

And oh gawd, more soul stealing Cryxian models!

Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

I just want to see what Blood of Martyrs turns out to be. The fact that Thyra is a Daughters of the Flame warcaster suggests she's going to be FAST, and it would only make sense for her warjack to be quick too. There has been a lot of speculation on the PP boards about a plastic Reckoner/Castigator kit, and that would be much nicer for her than the dear SPD 4 Crusader kit. If we could see a +1 SPD upgrade just like Fire of Salvation got I would love it....though I doubt they'll hand Menoth a SPD 6 heavy, given that we don't even have SPD 6 lights.

As for Ret, it seems almost guaranteed that we'll get a Vyre Heavy Jack option, particularly given Vyros' NQ tier making a specific mention of "Heavy Warjacks with Field Dependent" Wouldn't surprise me to see a Char. jack based off of that one.

A fanatic assassin able to move between the bounds of life and death, Thyra, Flame of Sorrow is the peerless commander of the Daughters of the Flame. Her twin swords, Grief and Lament, weave a path of razor-edged destruction through the enemy ranks as she leads her sisters into battle. Thyra has become a living weapon of the Menite cause, her body and soul devoted to avenging the injustices carried out by those who oppose the Creator.

    Eeee!

She's got a pretty face, gorgeous armor, plenty of cloth/robes, and a solidly awesome pose.

A+, Privateer. Thyra's winning the Wrath 'caster competition so far, but I'm not writing off Constance or Ossyan just yet (I didn't care for Damiano's concept art).

I hate her design, it's boring (so far all of the Wrath casters are), but it's a great model, easily the best shown so far.

Both those warcasters are pretty sweet. Can't wait to see Cygnar's and Rets!

    From the PP Facebook

For those that don't know UNBOUND will be previewed in the next No Quarter magazine, we only know about it now due to the cover image that was posted on PP's Facebook page (which for some reason I can't find now).

The cover text read, "UNBOUND! Large scale battles in the Iron Kingdoms."

Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

The alternating activations between players of different portions of their armies sounds great. One of the problems I had with Apocalypse was that turns could last ages, with opponents or myself standing around waiting for their turn with nothing to do but pack minis back into their carry cases.

Its also a little depressing how easily I hit 150 points with my Khador, Cryx, Everblight, Circle & Mercs. I was left 8 points short on my Retribution.

hmm, not a huge fan of either caster tbh, the cryx one just screams typhon to me :s while the menoth one is a bit meh (although i think tha is mostly because i really dont like menoth :P ) i do on the other hand LOVE the khador caster, he is just awesome, although his club is a little strange...that thing is gonna need a loooot of pinning before i stays on :P

not a an of his jack tho which is a shame

Sigh... Thyra looks awesome, it's a shame she is a menite With her and the Harbringer I'm really tempted to start a menoth army as well. I just can't stand religious fanatics...
I want to see Constance now (and Damio). I really hope she will be as good as Thyra or I will be a very sad Cygnar player.
