The savage winter argus stalk the dark, frozen hinterlands of the Scarsfell Forest and Blackroot Wood, prowling under cover of great northern storms. Gouts of gelid breath freeze the argus’ victims in place until the pack closes in for the feast. Though feared by many, the creatures are prized by northern druids for their savagery and the supernatural cold they can manifest to cripple the enemies of the Circle Orboros.



Castigator, Reckoner, Sanctifier

The Reckoner was heralded as the first warjack entirely of Menite design. It lights the way for the faithful with its cannon as it charges across the battlefield and then smashes anything still standing with its club. Based on the same design, the Castigator brings Menoth’s Fury to its enemies with its flaming fists and the ability to ignite the surrounding air with flesh-cremating heat. The Sanctifier is employed in battle to ensure the spirits of the righteous are ushered to Urcaen; as battle wears on, it becomes a vessel for Menite souls, fueling its power even as it protects the righteous.



Nice to see the plastic Reckoner chassis - Reznik will be happy. The Sanctifier has an awesome head - it's also painted in my Protectorate scheme...fancy.

The Winter Argus has a doofy face (x2!) but not terrible (and not new, given he was shown in Domination...were the plastic Protectorate 'jacks in Wrath? I never got that book).

I especially like the head on the Sanctifier. Too many of the other Menoth heads look like Donald Duck.

I love these new menoth jacks. Everything about the redesign is faultless and the addition of the Sanctifier is awesome. Seems PP have really taken to airbrushing a lot of their models for display, that's what it looks like to me at least. Gah! I'm so glad these came out.

No that's not what I said. I was addressing your concern that PP's concern was just to ramp up the size of games.

Hmm. I suppose it isn't what you said. However, my experience with leagues and tournaments is they are pretty much entirely in the hands of local organizers and players, so thats how I understood it. PP does the general rules and scenarios, but people handle it how they like, with game sizes they prefer.

Anyway 'just to ramp up the game size' isn't quite right either. They clearly have other concerns as well. But I'm very much unamused that they're charging for an add-on ruleset again. Particularly since I didn't find it very good in the first place. Not from a perspective of 'I don't like big games,' but from the perspective of 'this does very little to make big games more interesting and more fun.'


New stuff:
plastic jacks look good. Not a radical departure from the metals, though the sanctifier's paint job makes me really dislike his Menofix. It needs to be a bit more subdued.

Winky the Winter Argus on the other hand... eh. He should team up with the Gorax resculpt and they can co-star in a warner brothers cartoon.

Holy crap, and here I was expecting the Troll Gargantuan to be the worst of the bunch. I'd like to see the other factions top that (I really would, I have high hopes for Circle).

I hope circle is going to be as good as that but i have my doubts. For some reason i feel pesimistic about the circle one.

This is mostly my feelings on the subject. I figured the Trollblood Gargantuan would be third or fourth in along with the Skorne one. I'm incredibly pleased by this beastly model. I'm also praying the Legion one is made to this standard.
