Wow, very nice, Cygnar is getting some nice models this time around, I think they might have the best this release.

Seconded. They're getting some very nice releases.

Every faction has gotten at least one model that really stands out, but Cygnar hasn't had a miss yet.

An Iosan scholar well versed in the arcane arts, Sylys Wyshnalyrr barters his talents to the armies of the Iron Kingdoms in exchange for access to their libraries and safe passage across their lands. Given Sylys’ attention, even the most puissant warcaster would find his own sorcerous ability strengthened, gaining an invaluable edge in battle.

well i'm not over impressed its ok i'm having a change of heart about ret there all starting to look the same

I rather like Sylys' staff and gauntlet look. The odd armor plate seems off, though.

    I suppose the questions are:
    1) Does he have the Retribution Partisan rule?
    2) Who else does he work for?

Not a terribly impressive model, but intriguing and like the additional mercenary love.

Now, if only he allowed Mercs to take Hallyr and Skarath (I want my bloody Tatzylwurm...)

    not to mention cephalyx...

It's nice to see the Seekers getting some representation on the tabletop. One of the reasons he could be a Merc & not a Retribution ally unit is that I think that the Retribution & the Seekers don't get along with their philosiphies being at odds with each others. Could be mistaken & not remembering the background properly.

Yes, I believe the seeker attitude toward the retribution is 'Wow, you guys have really sky-dived to conclusions here. Our race is dying and you want to put more of us out on battlefields against people who breed like rabbits? Its not like the humans are smart enough or powerful enough to kill our gods anyway'

The retribution response is, of course, 'You don't love Scyrah enough'

    Point of truth Voss.

The real question is: Solo or attachment?

I'm about 90% sure he's got the Retribution Partisan rule.

All warcaster attachments are solos in MkII.
Also I think Retribution Partisan is unlikely since he is not part of, you know, Retribution but is a Seeker who are rather at odds with Retribution. Lady Aiyana, only other Seeker who has model, doesn't have Retribution Partisan either.

Aiyana also has Holt Tagging along. Retribution is a side faction, but they were at odds due to philosophical differences. These days, they both just want Nyssor back.

I meant if he is like a squire or like reinholdt.

Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

So, question for anyone who might know- Epic Alexia, Mistress of the Witchfire is listed in NQ#36 as coming out in June, but she isn't on the product release pdf on the PP site. Anyone know one way or another if she is actually coming out with the june releases? I sadly can't access the PP site from work, and I'm trying to put together a preorder for june releases.

My Search Voss turned up nothing more than speculation as to what she is :/

An infernal claimed Maelstrom was wrong. She's a cavalry Solo.

I'm looking at the cover of the old Witchfire trilogy and hoping for something like that.
