Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

well i like ozzy which isnt helping seen as the more i see ret stuff the more i'm thinking of starting a force

not impressed with blood of martyrs for 1 the kit just looks like they couldn't really be bothered same as ivan and i'm not holding much hope for the cryx one (forgot the name) but then everyone should know my opinion on the half arsed jack kits there doing now

after seeing the write up for thyra i thought she might get a speed 6/7 light jack not another lumbering heavy which probably wont be able to keep up with her

Yeah, really not impressed with Blood of Martyrs. PP doing the 'jack kits just means you are going to get a whole bunch of 'jacks that look very similar to each other, bit dissapointing really.
    My common sense is tingling!

Well, the character jacks are only like the GW tank kits, with a standard chassis and add-ons. Although I can tell the difference with GW stuff, I've not seen enough of the PP range to distinguish between the lot yet.

Yeah, the new character Jacks are really disappointing, I'm hoping Warbeasts don't get the same treatment.

Can't really see that happening, apart from the legion heavies that are almost identical to the Carnivean, most heavies have very different poses or armour even if they are of the same type. Jacks only got the treatment since they have chassis, so they can be interchangeable.

The disfigured farrow assistant of Dr. Arkadius, Targ aids his master by tending the violent and unpredictable farrow warbeasts. Although lacking refinement and expertise, Targ has a way with warbeasts. He can push a warbeast to lash out with an unpredictable attack, administer vital medical care to his charges, or provide vital guidance to farrow warbeasts that wander too far from their masters.

i dont mind him actually not bad at all for a farrow not what i expected though

Targ is an amazing model, and he's looking to be an amazing bargain assuming he has Ancillary Attack.

I'm looking forward to this month's No Quarter. It will have the final Wrath previews before the book is released! Do we think they will give us a taste of the casters? Or maybe the new character jacks? The other battle engines?

I would love to see abilities for Rets new caster or at the very least the other things for Ret. Every Ret release has me excited as our options finally start to expand!

Speaking of that, I did get the Arcanist and Heavy Rifle team. At the very least, the models are nice. Especially the arcanist.

Edit: Oh and welcome back to warseer everyone!

I've been looking at the artificer as a possible shield provider for my Mage Hunter Strike Force with Kaelyssa. Would help their survivability against blast damage.

As for the new previews... I too am dead excited about the Ret stuff coming out... I'm seriously hoping for a new Warjack Chassis preview! Or as EmeraldW said, the revelation of Ossyan!

This year is good for Ret. Now, off to glue my Destors together!

They've just confirmed that the new Cygnar caster Constance Blaize and her character jack Gallant are in fact Cygnar allies who can be used as mercenaries with Highborn.

    Confirmed here

That is pretty sweet and only increases my desire to play Mercs as a second list.

Constance Blaize is a resolute champion of Morrow who leads her Precursor Knights into battle against the unholy terrors that threaten all of mankind. Her greatest foes are the sprawling nightmare empire of Cryx and the vile servants of the dark god Thamar. Empowered by her faith, Blaize fights for her god and her nation with fervor inspired by the holy ascendants she reveres

A lot better than I was expecting, definitely one of the best sculpts shown for Wrath so far.

Oh, WarSeer's back. Hi guys! I was waiting for an e-mail from the admins

Anyway, I'll get the first post updated with Constance and Targ - both great models. I'm willing to give the top Wrath 'caster prize to Constance. Suitably awesome.

    Want. Her. Now!
Still more than a month till her release date
She looks awesome. I hope her story and stats will be good as well. I don't dare to hope for a good tier list though...
Now where is the picture of Gallant?

Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

Its worth pointing out that both Gallant and Constance have been officially confirmed to be Morrowan Ally Models, so they work for Mercs (Highborn) as well as Cygnar. There is a thread in the PP Mercs forum where a couple of PP staffers confirm it. I'd link it myself, but though I can visit warseer at work, PP's site is blocked. Because the IT people here are exceedingly clever...

Not that people haven't mentioned this already. Ah well.

That model is just too damn pretty. I point you to my above post to further reinforce my thoughts.

Constance looks amazing, easily my favourite Wrath caster thus far. Will certainly be picking her up along with some knights.
