Nice. Blindwater is getting some good stuff...he looks a bit MonPoc or Pokemon, but hey, still cool.

The studio jobs - stacked up - look to go along pretty well. I'd say the Hex Hunters are a refinement of previous designs - sharper detail and a bit more expression - while the Grotesques are an obvious "extreme" of the blighting process.
Interesting. The Hex Hunters doesn't seem that out of place seen in your comparison. Perhaps it's the cloaks and loose fitting clothes which make them seem so different...

The Grotesques are not extremely blighted - they are just extremely ugly minis

Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

So, skavenSte, you'll mention them, but you won't post them?

    Trollkin Sluggers

    http://privateerpress.com/hordes/gal...llkin-sluggers

Disciplined soldiers armed with massive, belt-fed cannons, trollkin sluggers walk the battlefield blazing through ranks of foes with a withering hail of bullets. Enemy infantry is cut down in droves, and even the mightiest warbeast eventually succumbs to the concentrated fire of the sluggers’ relentless cannons.

So it's a bunch of Trolls with chain guns. Scary. Also fancy...you know...for trolls

Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

Also - I think I'm missing a Trollblood release on the first page.

I think I have all the Skorne and all the Legion, but that leaves me one short for the Trollbloods. Maybe they're just short one, but my initial guess would be that there's another character solo or character UA I haven't accounted for.

Anyone know or do I have to go brave the Trollblood forums?

You're missing Skaldi Bonehammer, Champions Unit Attachment. He's Borka's rival/college roommate or something, they look pretty similar.

True I was just adding that there was no model so that could be why he missed him...

I know I miss his model not being out already! He is Awesome!

Those Sluggers do look very nice - definitely adding a unit of them to my Trolls (maybe even two depending on how much they cost in £).

Oh look, Ork Nobs with Shootas.

Yeah, I guess they are nice models, but I really wish PP would move away from the WW1 Lewis machine gun look for Trollbloods as it looks very very close to one of the common GW's 'Shoota' looks. There are 100 different looks they could go with for big muscle bound brutes with big shooty guns -- trodding on ground already travelled may not be the best route.

    bayal -hound-of-everblight
    http://privateerpress.com/hordes/gal...humter-officer

Bayal, called the Hound of Everblight, is first among hex hunters. He is an incredibly potent battle wizard who can unleash withering bolts of blighted energy upon foes or freeze their bones with blasts of icy power. When leading his men in battle, Bayal becomes a whirling dervish of destruction, eviscerating his victims with twin hex blades or channeling his blighted magic through the weapons to bind a foe in shadow.

i like it not a bad mini

Very plain for a character miniature. It's not a bad sculpt by any means, but lacks personality and dynamic.

Bayal may have the coolest helm of any of Everblight's forces - he's utterly delightful. Also, sounds a heck of a lot like Shadow Bind on his weapons, doesn't it?

Some sort of ice-based attack as well, given the description - I like him a lot.
