Nice shark, pretty shark.
I really love that epic Vayl model. So much that it almost made me start Legion. I guess I was still reeling from the tragedy that is eHexeris and the even bigger tragedy that is eBaldur.
On a side note, 100 page mark! Woo!
Damn it! He'd been placed somewhere deep and away from my mind...
I guess the eBaldur thing is about taste. It's an alright model, it was just so underwhelming. I wanted Woldur. I didn't get that. Then again, we did get the Fulcrum... swings and roundabouts.
eBaldur is much better than pBaldur, but considering pBaldur and pGrissel are the two worst Warlocks sculptwise, that's not a powerful statement.
Lucky you. I find that abomination very hard to forget..
Yeah! Woldur FTW! One can wonder what the design team were thinking:
"Nah, Woldur is too obvious and cliché"
"Yeah, let's make a carbon copy of the original - only this time WITHOUT HOOD!"
*stunned silence*
"That's..that's like...genius..man!"
Sad but true![]()
Baldur2 is a massive letdown.
Has his origin already been spoiled? I'm curious how he went from all-but-dead, barely sustained by Megalith, to "All Lylyth did was shoot down my hood!!!".
Poor Circle...boring epic, boring new warlock.
Can I claim the win for best new epic for Legion? Or do the Troll players really like Grissel? (I have to admit, she's miles ahead of her original incarnation).
I never understood the negativity from the circle forum about Woldur. A fair few didn't like the idea of Woldur, like you said, saying it was too obvious...
What's wrong with obviously awesome?!
I will agree with you loveless, Legion wins..... I want them so badly! I'd like to know why some factions are getting really good models while others aren't. It doesn't seem to be as much of an equal spread as it used to be.
Legion and Trolls are tied for least boring epic, but really there are no winners this time around.
+1 for loveless' sentiment. Legion has by far the best Epic. Vayl is really good, whereas Grissel as a stand-alone model is just good. But I do appreciate the Grissel mini much, as it will work so nicely as a replacement for pGrissel.
IMO, Skorne clearly wins for best non-epic. The loser is - SURPRISE! - Circle
Word. Rule of Cool wins over any grumpiness from biased old men
Then again, I've quit taken notice of what goes on at the PP boards. Too much introverted weirdness and whining for my taste..
Skorne looses on the resculpt front though, that pMorghoul is godawful.

Speaking of Morghoul, I do enjoy how Privateer changed the official image of the model, but left the rotation in the original pose. http://privateerpress.com/hordes/gal...rghoul-variant
I guess the "I'm a bird!" pose got ridiculed too much, so they had their painting team put together a new one with better (?) arm posing. Still looks ridiculous, though.
I do prefer the repose from the original, looks slightly more subtle.
Baldur is up, the 360 is a bit better. I appreciate the wold-ness.

'While the last tenuous thread of his life was held fast by Megalith, Baldur’s spirit was subsumed within the entirety of Orboros, and the fundamental principles of the world were made clear to him. He has returned to serve as a conduit for a torrent of destructive power. In the midst of battle Baldur can tap into this endless flow to empower himself beyond his mortal limits, but the longer he fights, the more his body tears itself apart.'
Sounds like he's going to have interesting rules at least. The model is a huge improvement over pBaldur too, unfortunately this is probably my favorite epic of the 4.
