Yay, at last a REALLY cool mini from PP...Rök is very good! Over the top in a cool PP way. What's not to like about skirt-wearing drunken blue vikings with ridiculously oversized weapons

And just to prove my above point, the Swamp Horror is released as well. Oh well, at least the body part is allright...

I don't like Menites in general, so no comments on the Examplars - except for a congratulations to the Menite Players for another plastic set

I must say I really like the new Errants... The fact that they are plastic makes it even better. Perhaps I can finally get hold of some of them too, since I've tried for 6 months+ to get a unit of them >.>

Aside from the fact that they look like skirt-wearing drunken blue vikings with ridiculously oversized weapons, you mean? Or that the entire line of trolls look like "Boss Nas" from Phantom Menace?

Aside from those things, yeah, I guess there nothing not to like....

For a PP model I think he has quite a modestly sized weapon.

Indeed...I daresay a creature of such design could potentially hold that weapon in reality, meaning that Privateer failed to "Turn it up to 12" (11 gets a pass) on this venture.

Also, I just noticed the plastic Errants are relatively cheap in comparison to, say, the newest metal Bane Thralls...which makes me really want Privateer to rerelease those Bane Thralls in plastic (and the BloodGorgers while they're at it...).

So you believe that Skirt-wearing blue vikings with a drinking problem and laughably oversized weapons are bad things?

    Skirts? Good!
    Booze? Good!
    Blue? Allright, kind of good
    Vikings? Good !
    Oversized weapons? Good!

    I don't understand?!

I did not know that...primarily because I never took the time to actually buy them. You think they'd make mention of that on the product page.

Regardless, I still say plasticize them and lop off a good portion of their cost.

Nice new Errants and Rök (is that pronounced "Ro-ik?") is a decent model. Of all the 1-hp Protectorate Infantry, I think they were the best choice for being made in ABS...the metal ones had a lot of parts:

Torso& head, left arm, right arm, 2 x shoulder pad, scabbard, shield & crossbow.

    ..and were pretty hefty figures.

the "ö" is also a German letter which you should pronounce something like:

"Some what like the vowel in English "burn". To produce it, say the German long e, then round the lips as for the long o. Do not allow your tongue to move toward the back of your mouth as you round your lips."

Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

Rök very much pleases me. I was a bit leery about the fact that he was going to be an upgrade to a standard kit, rather than his own model, but he looks so crazy that I just can't bring myself to not love him.

You've got to be kidding me. I finally get round to getting Knights Exemplar, and someone releases pictures of them in plastic!

They are nice models though. I'm sure a Kreoss tier list is calling to me for the new year...

    With regards,

    New models are pretty.

I really wish I had a deeper opinion for my once in a blue moon post but, oh well.

    Minuteman

    http://privateerpress.com/warmachine...acks/minuteman

The Minuteman is a product of numerous advances in mechanikal warfare. Utilizing an exactingly designed series of compression chambers, the warjack can launch itself short distances by venting its heartfire through a special propulsion system. It is well suited to annihilating entire swathes of infantry with its short-range grenade launchers upon landing, clearing its line of sight to an intended target. The Minuteman can then unload its dual slug guns into harder targets.
