Now that's an epic model, hopefully this spells good things for the rest of them.

I don't even collect Cygnar, but I'll get the new Nemo, simply because it's just a gorgeous sculpt and looks fun to paint

Its not a bad model, with decent detail, but its not very impressive. Its Nemo with Staff, version 4. I think the resculpt of the normal version is a more impressive model.

Aren't a few of the other Epic3s going to be cavalry?
I for one can't wait for Vyros3, so awesome he skips right over 2.
Lion: Hey Russ, you'll never guess what!
Russ: Yeah, I know! Magnus is a traitor! To think that he could accuse our beloved brother Horus of turning against us. Impossible! But don't worry. I have taken care of it, Horus asked me to destroyed Prospero and I have. Magnus shouldn't be bothering us again.
Lion: ... actually, I was going to say that Magnus was right. Horus has turned to Chaos, 7 other Legions have joined him and he has destroyed 3 Loyal Legions already!

I'd agree with that. This version is a bit boring for me - nice, but nothing to write home about.

    Stormwall

    http://privateerpress.com/warmachine...sals/stormwall

Perhaps Nemo’s greatest creation, the Stormwall towers over Cygnar’s enemies with all the majesty and menace of a looming cloudburst. From the thunder of its guns to the blinding cracks of arcing electricity from its lightning pods, the Stormwall is the mechanikal embodiment of the tempest. Powered by both steam and surging voltaic energy, it riddles the enemy lines with cannon shells and hails of bullets before smashing survivors with its electrified fists.

$135, good lord. He is a big, beefy hunk of robot, though.

At current exchange rates, that's £85. So I think £100 all in is about right.

Looks A LOT nicer than it did in the preview video, I'm impressed. Hopefully the Khador one looks better in it's official photo too.

Yeah, the price point is out beyond the edge of unreason. As in 'We see your finecast, and raise our bet by Cthulhu.'
I'm going to miss a fun skirmish game. Or not, I guess. Haven't played in months.

Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

I agree, it's sad to see PP's big new stuff be rather beyond the pale pricing wise - when most of the rest of the line falls into "reasonable." Battle Engines were bad at $85ish (should have been $75ish imo). But $135 for Colossals is a step or two beyond that. (I was hoping for $115, though $125 was more what I was expecting).

Though you can certainly still play it as a skirmish game if that's what you like.

There's no must buy models so you can just get the models that you want and can afford.

Let me put it this way: for $135 I can start a whole new faction, probably get a 25-35 point list out of the deal.

actually ive been thinking. 135 aint so bad considering its 4 times the size of Drago and not 4 times the price (thank goodness).

Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

Honestly, I'm not that annoyed by the price - I understand how large this thing is and I don't think it's unreasonable. It might be a bit much for my view of the game...I also have to wonder why we bothered with Battle Engines if they were going to do Colossals anyway.

Also, thanks to the Colossals, the Wraith Engine is going to look even more like a giant warjack. Super.
