Yeah, Cassius is the second Circle Warlock I like the appearance of (Kromac being the first). Overall it was a great issue, I proxied a game with Carver, he's pretty nasty (although nothing truely spectacular). His shotgun is a ton of fun, and with his Feat, he's a mini-butcher (but way cooler).
Hey, there he is, all happy and painted:
Captain Gunnbjorn
http://privateerpress.com/hordes/gal...tain-gunnbjorn
Once a member of the Cygnaran military, Captain Gunnbjorn brings a unique perspective to the armies of the kriels. His formal military training and his keen mind give him a tactical approach to battle rather than the more primitive approach of overpowering brutality favored by less experienced trollkin warriors. Even the best laid plans have pitfalls, however, and when careful use of cover and terrain fail him, Gunnbjorn is quick to use his heavy bazooka to decimate enemy formations.

Circle doesn't have guns, just skirts and puppies.
Circle has sexy cannibal ladies.
To the topic at hand...they really seem to have changed the Trollblood asthetic on some of the latest models.
Yeah, until now they've only done traditional Kriels, now they're doing Thornfall Davey Crockett Trolls, and the Trolls who don't belong to traditional Troll Kriels or communities (like Gunnbjorn, who's from the Cygnar military). It's a fairly radical difference in look, but I'm willing to accept Gunnbjorn and anything similar, Davey Crockett will have to sit at the sidelines though.
IMO, the paintjob is technically excellent. One could argue that the green for the uniform is too similiar with the skin, but I don't think it's all that bad.
I'm with ICLRK625 on the new aestethic. "Civilized" Trollbllods are cool, Davy Crocket Trollbloods aren't. BTW, the "civilized" aestethic isn't completely new, since Grim is largely done in the same style - his duster and googles are hardly standart TB fare![]()
Warpborn Skinwalkers
http://privateerpress.com/hordes/gal...rn-skinwalkers
Warpwolves bring an undeniable power to the battlefield, but the massive creatures are difficult to control. Warpborn Skinwalkers are Devourer worshippers who chose to undergo a partial transformation that leaves their minds more human while empowering them with a bestial strength. These monsters wade through opposing formations, ripping soldiers apart with their jaws or their hefty polearms.
Well...I like the concept...but good Lord, I would have to paint their arms not in a flesh tone. At first glance, I thought the one on the right was just wearing some sort of weird wolf-shaped mask - like a Scooby Doo villain
Cool models, though - I think they'd look perfect with the arms colored in to match the fur.
3 models

Those are nice models!
The next warlock I was thinking of building a list for was Morhvanna and she would love these.
Not a huge fan of the Howling guy but oh well. Still rather expensive for 3 models though.

Whoa! Cool! Really nice concept and excellent minis. If I ever got around to a Circle army, these would be an auto-include.
Got to agree about the colour scheme too. It just looks weird. Same colour for the skin is all that is required, really.
More things...good stuff, too.

Nephilim Bolt Thrower
http://privateerpress.com/hordes/gal...m-bolt-thrower
Nephilim stand apart from other Legion warbeasts due to their ability to wield weapons while maintaining all the advantages of beasts born of the dragon’s blood. Their draconic strength allows nephilim bolt throwers to use artillery-style ballistae as hand-held weapons. Each bolt delivers tremendous stopping power against approaching foes before the bolt throwers carve up survivors with their heavy bow blades.
Why hello Lylyth2, did I hear that you wanted more ranged beasts? Did I also mention that Loveless has been crying out for a ranged Nephilim since, oh, Evolution?
Great. Stuff.
I am excited![]()
I like the new Neph, and the book cover art. Can't wait to see Beth and her dog now.
Skinwalkers are gonna be a collectors item too.
