Yeah, but a lancer has 16 armour basic, and the centurion 19.
3 Is alot of armour plating!

Are the new plastic heavy jack's bigger than their metal predecesor's?
I hope not. For transport's sake

I...may be able to answer that.

I give no guarantees that my sizing is 100% accurate on these - I rigged them up for some friends of mine.

Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

    Nice comparison pics.

It seems to me that the Plastic Khador Jacks indeed look bigger, but the Cygnar, Cryx and Menoth don't (exept for some more spacing wich is normal for plasticmodels)

Righ now I'm finally painting my thunderhead, and finisching up my Cygnar army in general... Until January that is

Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

Already a thread on tall, fanatical, and Protectorating here, but he needs added to this thread for completeness. Serves me right for taking a day off

    http://privateerpress.com/warmachine...ator-vindictus

No Menite alive is as concerned for the fate of heathen souls as Vice Scrutator Vindictus. Where others among the Protectorate see only a faceless sea of heretics, Vindictus sees potential devotees of the True Faith. Where others preach with words, Vindictus communicates with agony. The holy zealots who follow this unforgiving priest fight with the strength of fanatics and martyrs, adding to their own numbers with each strike. Vindictus travels far from the Protectorate’s borders, raising armies loyal to the Lawbringer and turning them against any of their countrymen foolish enough to resist the will of Menoth.

Vice Scrutator Vindictus comes in a blister (PIP 32063). A player may field one Vice Scrutator Vindictus in his Protectorate of Menoth army.

Sorry to have beaten you to it . I was suprised not to have seen it posted once I'd seen the model so I gave it 5 minutes... still nothing so I just had to, it was the will of Menoth.

    It's a glorious model.

    Exemplar Cinerators

    http://privateerpress.com/warmachine...lar-cinerators

Emboldened from the wounds inflicted by the impure, Exemplar Cinerators move ahead of their brothers in arms, the Bastions, to breach enemy ranks with flame and steel. Cinerators channel the agony of their wounds into holy rage and are armed with ancient blades and shields passed down from fallen Knights through the centuries. An unquenchable flame flickers across the blade, blazing white-hot when wielded in battle.

So...Bastions with flaming swords and shields - fun times.

Plastic unit, $45 for 5 of them, which seems to be the standard for the medium base infantry.

Not bad. Looks to be based on the bastions a lot. Still pretty nice models though.

Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

I still think the 2010 Stryker is the doofiest-looking version yet. The Swans seem to love it, but it just strikes me as a weird model. Maybe a clearer picture would help, but he just looks silly.

Deneghra looks to be in scale for once - hurrah. A shame I find her so dull to play - but she could be fun to paint.

Kreoss looks massive...and Spellbreaker's ball moreso. He matches his art from the original Prime very well. This naturally means that I'll be painting yet another Kreoss.

Sorscha I'm really warming up to...I've been getting more and more interested in Khador it seems. I never liked the flatness of her original sculpt. The resculpt always looked a bit silly with the way she's wielding Frostfang. This one has a nice casting pose - almost like she's just noticed a target. It's a weird pose, but I like it.

Cheers to Keravin for posting the link I was too lazy to look up again

Very nice, even if it does look like the new Kreoss model may be bulkier than his Epic version!

Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

the cinerators look great and those tiny nozzles on their swords have me thinking assault and spray.
i play cygnar instead of khador but that sorscha model is almost a must have. it looks amazing. all four casters seem to have the very best quality sculpting but sorscha is the only one of them to convey any personality to me.

a thought occurs: we have new plastic heavies, new battlebox caster sculpts, and new plastic lights on the same chassis as their battlebox counterparts. they could be replacing the old starters soon, seems like they will only need light jack arms and heads.

You have to believe that the new light warjack kits can make all the current variants. New battleboxes may be released that include the plastic warjack kits.

Again we have absolutely no indication they are doing new battleboxes and EVEN less likely now they are doing new resculpts for the casters.

Ohhh, Stryker looks badass, but I play Cygnar so... (beside Mercs)
The others are looking ok, but I like the original Sorscha better.

As for plastic jacks, I will stick with the metal ones, they look better imo.

Quite impressed with the Deneghra sculpt. I might get this.
