Was looking at Protectorate for my third army, that new model has almost swayed me! Still, I do love the Cygnar disco ball, so it isn't my new favourite.
    My common sense is tingling!

Huh, new Farrow unit, didn't see that coming. Ideally it's a melee unit, taking a million Brigands every game is getting old.

Yeah, they mentioned something about cleavers, but I assumed they just meant the Bone Grinders, since that's what they fight with. Good news I guess though, just need to see if they're actually worth fielding.

I thought it was the story at the beginning of the Legion of Everblight book, when Bethaybe gets ambushed by Dr. Arkadius.

UTTER speculation here: I reckon Reach, P+S 12 and Dismember.

Also, it has been suggested on the PP forums that because is so much $ for only 6 models, they *might* be medium based.

Re: Forces of Warmachine: Books and New Models

If they are medium I suspect they will be 5 wound models like the Tharn Ravagers. It is nice to be getting another unit for the Farrow so soon. (I wonder if they might have Berserk - the name Slaughterhousers would fit)

The resculpts for the Bane Thralls sounds interesting - are they going to change the style to make them closer to the Bane Knights with smaller back spikes?

I guess the Menoth Choir is being re-packaged into a box - makes sense.

Surprised by the Bane Thrall re-sculpt - I like the current models.

So like a steam-powered Popemobile then?

I like it a lot, I just don't like how it looks like only 1 guy is pulling it

Like a change to well-sculpted, dynamic and frightning minis, rather than boxy, clumsy and semi-comical minis?

Yes, re-sculpt of Bane Thralls much appreciated, thank you!

Well, they've still got the Bane Thrall Officer and Standard Bearer to match up to, so they're probably still going to look a bit on the comical side

It'll be nice to see them, though. I'm curious.

Nothing we haven't seen today...except for the 3-D rotation of the Arcantrik Force Generator.

    http://privateerpress.com/warmachine...orce-generator

This baby is awesome. There's some fluff text, too:

The arcantrik force generator is a massive engine of war that houses one of the most devastating and complex weapons in the arsenal of the Retribution of Scyrah. Its teleforce cannon, which fires concentrated bursts of kinetic energy, represents the very pinnacle of Iosan arcane science. Blasts from the force generator shatter anything they touch, reduce the ground to craters and rubble, and fling enemies aside like broken dolls.

I'll admit it - I want one How about the rest of you?

Hmmmm... I'm warming to it, ever so slightly. It's my third favourite I think. Every time I play Star Craft II, I want to start playing these guys.

Yep - leave it to PP to post after I've left for break

I've attached the image for quick access.

I rather like it - like the AFG, it makes the Gun Carriage look tiny though...

EDIT: Additional commentary - a lot of the new Cygnar stuff is really freaking sweet in Mk. 2. I sort of hate to say it, but Cygnar's actually getting to look awesome. I can't think of any of their new releases I dislike, and the Strider is ridicu-cool.

Am I the only one having Wild Wild West flashbacks looking at the Storm Strider? Other than thah, it looks good. Now PP need to get me some Bombadiers...
