I am unsure if I should save and wait to buy the Legion BE or save up for the Khador BE.

The Legion one is interesting, but it reminds me of things I had seen while living in Japan, things that cannot be unseen...

I was under the impression there was no Minion battle engine. If there is, I fear the amount of loathing coming from Mercenary players.

Octopus (can't be squid-like can it?) thing ranges as kind of normal to me unlike the flying thing Legion is getting. I must also say that thing looks pretty cool as well as intimidating. Does it get 8 initial tentacle arm attacks or something?

However, when it is random things with tentacles...that's when I worry.

Really nice. *sigh* Too bad about the rest of the Faction.

See, the annoying thing with Hordes for me is that I really like some models from one faction, some from another, but no Faction as a whole.

For Legion (for example) pVale and now eVale are awesome models, as are the the Warmongers (some of the best in all of WarmaHordes, IMO). I also like the Lylyth models. Sadly most of the Legion Beasts look like 4th edition Tyranid knock-offs (yes, I get the irony of that comment....but I stand by it) and the Nyss infantry look like heroin-addicts with the "Hobgoblin's" head grafted in some unholy fashion onto the body.

One notch to the right on the rotation is far better, IMO - gorgeous model. Going to have to pin the cape like there's no tomorrow, though.

I need to pick up more Legion stuff and stop caring about all my other games

Don't think the 'ring' supporting the pair of oraculi really works, but I am very pleased with the model. Very glad its not as stupidly 'top heavy' as the art from the preview banners. That was cringe worthy.

Hope the rules for my favorite warlock match up with the model and the potential.

Vayl is nice and Grissel is nice, but neither scream Epic the same way eCaine or eSeverius do. It's a shame, Privateer Press really hasn't been wowing me much lately.

Grissel Bloodsong stands as a bastion amid the storm devastating the lives of her people. Assuming leadership was never her goal, but she has proven worthy of shouldering the burden of Marshal of the Kriels in Ironhide’s absence. She gladly fights alongside her warriors and asks nothing of them she would not risk herself. They trust her to save them whether by shrewd words or the booming of her explosive voice and hammer on the battlefield.

Vayl and Grissel are both very good IMHO. Perhaps not awesome like eLylyth, but very good minis nonetheless. Certainly a helluva lot better than the pieces of dung the original versions were! Hey, if I get my TB's or my Legion out, I will consider using either as the normal versions. Never bothered to play with them because the minis were so damn ugly (especially Vayl - GAH!)

I also feel that both Vayl and Grissel are far better than any other Warlocks released this time around - bar Naaresh which is awesome. But then again, the Skorne epics range from hideous to bad. The concept of Jarl is cool, but the mini is rather boring and cliché. Kallus is bit uninspired and static. Baldur is allright, but not very epic nor very much different from the original (sense a trend here?!) and Grayle is extremely uninspired and boring.

Generally speaking, the new releases seem to suffer from a common failure in putting awesome concepts into correspondingly awesome sculpts.

But one model that improved immensely by going epic was Thagrosh.

I really like Grissel, but Vayl looks a bit like she is making that pouty, kissy face you see all the time. Just me?

Nah - I like original Vayl. She's one of my favorite Legion warlocks, actually.

Then again, I like the original Thagrosh as well.

Nope. While I like the new epic, I also like the original.

The epic Grissel is nice, but I can't rationalize it as the same individual- the head and hands are just too different (as is their approach to female trollkin in general).

Well the design for Female trollkin has changed and prior to Janissa only Grissel was available. I'm hoping for a new version of normal Grissel as well at some point.
