I'd keep the cart separate too.

The cart should be seperate as well as other big models like that.

When you have done the great looking town guard you will then have 3 units (spearmen, bowmen, guard), are you going to make a support unit of some kind? - i know you have the cart - something like a weapons team of some kind like the original dwarf boltthrower or a beast handler unit (made from the more reckless members of halfling society living on the outskirts of town). Not a clue of what sort of beastie

You might want to take a look at the Armybook: Halflings that came out a few days ago (completely unofficial, obviously):

EmperorNorton - Thanks mate! I like the pose too... I really haveto fight myself not to use it all the time! :P Haha! I havn't had a good look through that Halfling army book, but DAMN! It make any efforts of me trying to make my own Halfling fluff look pathetic in comparrison Plus they've come up with a few ideas for units that I had pondered about, bloody hell! :P

forthegloryetc - Support units eh? I have a very good idea for one particular model that i am DYING to sculpt! But looks like it's gonna haveto wait 'til the next halfling release! I could sculpt halflings all day, but I must project my efforts onto other armies too! It's only fair :/

Right guys! I've decided not to include the cart in the pack, but instead I decided to sculpt another model... Acting as the "leader" of the Pre-Order pack, I present to you the begginings of Ernst Strawbridge - Captain of the Town Guard... WIP -

I know his face looks a bit deadpan now, but he will be shouting, and he will have a GLORIOUS moustache!

Speaking of glorious moustaches, I also have a NEW model for the Swords for Hire, a rogue knight from the lands of Galica ( a country of Arcworlde that will get their own models in time)... An internet cookie to whosoever can name me the character who inspired him :P -

What do you think? SOrry I've bombarded you a bit over this weekend... it will be made up for by the probable silence for the rest of the week Haha!

    Cheers!

Mmmf... the grail knight in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade? Ernst and him are shaping up nicely
I prefer when you bombard rather than when you keep silent, btw

Sir Bedevere the Wise from Monthy Python and the Holy Grail! Lovely model by the way, I want one. If I am right he needs a duck.

Bombarding is good, I agree with EmperorNorton on quantity as well.
Model wise I like the town guard and Ernst is shaping up well. It looks like the next project will be a good core set. Now if only I had three brutes.

That's a good thing, surely? If anybody wants to make an army using that book, where are they going to go for the minis?
And if there's one thing you should never feel the need to apologize for it's bombarding us with new stuff. Quite the contrary.

I've started reading the rules, I'll need some time to "take them in" if you know what I mean. I already have a couple comments, but I assume it will be better for me to have everything compiled and sent in one go?

Re: The Host of the Feathered Serpent - Lizzie Blog + Other bits i fancy doing...

And Little Joe wins the cookie! :P And yes, he may get a duck

Urgat - You can make the odd comment on my forum (the link should be in the email I sent you), but if you could make a full "report" as it were and post it on there it would be brilliant!

EmperorNorton - I suppose you are right about the armylist! :/ And thanks mate, as long as you don't get bored of me! :P

Speaking of which, an update on Strawbridge! (still WIP) -

Well, it's very cool Will you make a cow? A cow heavy cavalry unit. That'd be fun.

Now thats a real mans tache on Strawbridge, the sort of tache to make Tom Selleck and Burt Reynolds run for the hills in shame of thier own attempts at a manly tache

At this rate you are going to have to do a city banner bearer to lead these huge halfling numbers (but im sure thats way off in the future after the other goodies)

*munch, munch* Looking at the knight again I like it even more, besides giving me a familiar theme he just oozes awesome.

That sure is a mustache on Ernst (note to self: go get some large green tufts for the Halflings), he sure is very flashy and great to paint.

By the way, I just signed up for the Tale of Skirmish Game Painters and will be painting some ArcWorlde Miniatures for this season as well. Word needs to be spread!

Holy schnikies, that's weird. I've been drooling over pics of Aaron Chapman's MP-Grail-themed empire army all week and trying to figure out how to put together my own, and then you show us pics of your Galican knight. Just perfect! Another day-one purchase for me. I hope he gets a duck!

Would you say your models are 28mm "heroic" scale? I ask because I got finished with your zombie pirates and they're significantly taller than the GW variety.

Received my Giant yesterday, thanks Warpy!

Just wanted to say that the quality of this model is amazing, there's so much detail and humour in this guy. The photos truly don't do it justice. He's a pretty big fella too!

Any progress on the elf from page 54 ?

Re: The Host of the Feathered Serpent - Lizzie Blog + Other bits i fancy doing...

Hey guys, thanks for the comments!

Urgat - I was thinking of doing something to do with Oxen, maybe a huge warbeast used in the same way the Indians use elephants? I don't know, but it could be cool! :P

fortheglory - Oh yessir, nothing but the best for the mighty Halflings! That stache is magnificent! And a city banner bearer would be cool, there will be a main city for Hobbleshire, but I havn't thought about it too much yet ( quite a bit of fluff writing to be getting on with... erk!)

Little Joe - Glad I've managed to convince you about the Captain! :P And I'm glad you've chosen MY models for the Tale of Skirmish Game Painters! Whoopee!

benvoliothefirst - There is a man who has made a Holy Grail army?!?!?! WHERE IS IT?! And I'm not sure exactly what scale my stuff is... I would say 28mm is the closest, but themodels can be quite a bit bigger than GW :/ Ahhh well, it make's them stand out I guess!

DazzaB - Thanks mate, I'm glad you like your model! Now, get that bad boy painted and posted up!

Firah - Thanks! And oh yes, she will be getting her own army in time... one that I am very excited about! :P

Anyway folks! I'll start off this update with a quick picture of the finished Captain of the Town Guard! -

With him now done, my next batch of Halflings is complete! And the Ulule project should be up in a few weeks time!

The next model I have is the WIP of the Mk.3 Albionnican Trooper, theres a lot of work to do, but you get the basic idea -

Time to start putting money aside again.

MK.3? I remember there being one more napoleanistic before, what was the MK.2? I think it depends on the weaponry you want to give him.

I guess he used to have more of a detailed write-up at http://www.remanlegions.com/ but apparently he stopped paying for his service, whoops!

And I just noticed that you put my zombie ogre up on your site... I feel very proud! Thanks!
