Hey guys, thanks for the comments! And thanks for the Art lecture Urgat, will take all of that into account with the next paintings I do What (or who) do you think I should paint next chaps?

Sylas - Yep, they will be available in the store, but they won't be in that particular pack, but mixed in with the rest of the Halflings, so if you want that specific set of models at that specific price, then now is the best time to get them!

Little Joe - The Cocklegriff will be £25 :] WOud anyone be interested in paying a little bit more for some special edition signed prints of the concept art? ( a better quality picture too, may I add :P )

Cpt McAllister - Thanks buddy! I've edited the face a bit to hopefully make him look a bit more human, and he is now officially a Shedu... cheers for the heads-up on that it sounds so much better!

Hairy - Thanks for putting those up Hopefully we should get some good comments!

hastings - Cheers mate! Glad you like 'em!

Speaking of Pre-Orders, there is only ONE DAY left to Pre-Order your Halflings of Hobbleshire... not long now folks, go grab them while you can! Go on... you know you want to

    http://www.ulule.com/cast-up-the-halflings/

Also, a WIP update on the Shedu! If you are wondering what those scale-like things are - they are crystals of Arcanite ( the magical crystal in Arcworlde) growing out of its flesh. They have so much of it within their bodies that it forms in their hides, and they have potent magical powers! ( Ok ok, its a bit rough, but the fluff needs writing down properly :P )

Oh, and for those who are curious, here is the size of a Death Kiwi compared to a 28/32mm scale human! -

Re: The Host of the Feathered Serpent - Lizzie Blog + Other bits i fancy doing...

I already told you via email some time ago how I admire your sculpting style, so I will only reply on the most recent pieces The cocklegriff came out really well, I was totally worried about the first mock-ups, cause it was going to be another rather anonymous raging monster, but after your fixing work it looks awesome (I loved the original concept art), and now I have to find a way to push this awesome piece in my O&G army :P
I absolutely approve The decision to call it Shedu instead of Lammasu. And I also approve the "neutral" feeling you get from the sculpt. I'm not sure about the crystals, but I think I only need to see them painted
And I can't wait for the other kiwis to be released, they need to carry some of my forest goblins, absolutely :P And I'm also waiting for that cool toad-wyvern you introduced some time ago, it really deserves to be completed

I managed to order some hobbits last night They'll look good in my Empire army. The hobbit halberdiers can go at the front, so the taller man can stab over easier lol. Hopefully I'll order some of the zombie pirates soon, because they are great!

Ps, what happened to that really nice zombie whale?

The cocklegriff is looking great, you've really ironed things out with the final miniature. The pose and anatomy looks great.
There is something about your style that reminds me of the artist Nicola Hicks, she does a lot of charcoal drawings and
sculptures of animals and mythological creatures.

Re: The Host of the Feathered Serpent - Lizzie Blog + Other bits i fancy doing...

Hey guys, thanks for the comments!

Urgat - Yeah, yeah I know... I'm waiting for the right TIME!

Thitanium Prince - Cheers buddy! Glad you like everything! I'm sure you could fit him in somewhere I'm also glad you like the Shedu! I will convince you of the crystals... just give me time The Kiwis will be out soon, but the toad-wyvern will be a little while yet... He is gonna be part of the Bayourk army, and I want to do him HUUUGE, so I might haveto save him a little while until my other armies have had a bit of love!

mcfishstick - Thanks for ordering some halflings mate, i hope you like them The Zombie whale has not been forgotten, do not worry, I'm just waiting for a time when I'm a bit more well-known, and can afford to release such an ambitious model without worrying about it not selling! As with the Toad-Wyvern, it's a "Warpy- Treat" model :P

Cpt. Mcallister - No problem!I'm not completely sure just yet, but I'm thinking in the 25- 30 quid mark

Elfboy - Nicola Hicks? Wow sir, I am honoured! Her stuff is truly beautiful! I'm glad that you like the cocklegriff too!

    Anyway folks, update day!

First up, some more Warpy artwork!

    The Shedu -

In other news, a brand new model!

In Arcworlde games, there is a terrain feature called "The Forgotten Tomb" - A cave which a character model can explore, with different outcomes depending on a roll of a d6. On the roll of a 2, his/her rummagings for loot awaken the ancient and vengeful spirit of the tomb, A Barrow Wight, who will not only chase them out of the caverns, but will be placed on the board, under the control of your opponent, with a special modifier in combat with the unsuccessful thief!

Eventually there will be a whole force for "The Forgotten Dead", but for now you will haveto suffice with it's ringleader

    WIP!

    And a size comp -

It almost looks like you painted it already. It looks good and nice to hear the work on rules is progressing as well. I have read the pirate rules and will leave a comment on your form soon.

The Shedu art looks nice, hard to copy in a miniature but I like challenges. So what faction will he be then?

Overall the Wight looks fine, but there are two details I do not like: his mouth - it looks like he forgot to put in his denture before yelling at the neighbour kids to get offa his lawn - and the ghostly faces on his gown, which should go more with the flow.

    Hi there,

first: amazing thread and work!! I read to the whole 75 Pages yesterday night and I am stunned by your sculptings!

I have a rather technical question though, I used to do some sculpting (mostly have converting using GS & co. and also some Fimo (similar to your super sculpey)), I tried to do several things with miliput (the standard one) but I found that its consistency is very hard to handle, if you use to much water it you get some kind of sludge and without it breaks or rips apart, its very hard to manoeuvre between this two dry and mushy consistencies. Can you tell me how you work with it? It is very very soft I noticed which also makes it hard to work with it sometimes, although smoothing it out and making sharp edges is really easy with it. Do you use a lot lubrication? And what kind of?

    Keep up the great work,
    All the best

Well to be honest, I don't have money to spend for now, so it's ok
Everything's cool other than that. Maybe give the undead dude more impressive shoulder plates?

Wow, the Shedu looks great! The forgotten dead model is one of the nicer ethereal models I've seen from any range. I will also have to second Urgat's suggestion that you need to release 2 more death kiwis. They would make awesome Demigriff substitutes!

Loving the Shedu art and can't wait to see him charging about the board gobbling Arcanite

The barrow wight is very cool, is that the liquid green stuff wash I see? He looks like he'd fit in well with a Bloodbowl team

I doubt it's the liquid greenstuff. It's great for filling holes, but terrible for any kind of sculpting. Well, maybe watered down to smooth things up? I haven't tried it like that, maybe it works, though I'm not too convinced.

Mighty fine Barrow Wight you have there Do the tiny faces on his lower body have a background explanation like "souls of the unfortunate ones who broke into the tomb and who have been absorbed by the Barrow Wight to suffer for all time" or are they just there for making him more terrifying?

I may need to contact you about the halflings. Wouldn't mind picking a bunch up for my Empire army. Do you only have them in the one package of mixed or can you get all archers/all spearmen/etc?

And that Empire dude with the crossbow is great too, might fit right in!
