    Carry on brother!
You know, I think you're right. I'm not sure if it is the camera or the light, but I remember the highlighting a being bit more pronounced than it appears there. Or maybe it does need more, I'll have to get him out and take a close look. Come to think of it, I may have not even hit it with elf flesh like I planned! Good call. Also, started my Crypt Ghoul/Lesser Daemon squad, and the first is coming along nicely. Once I get a complete scheme down (written down, cause I forget a lot, lol), I'll probably try batch painting them.

Well, here ya go! I still need a head to finish the last Oblit (any suggestions on what to use welcome, I just can't find a head for sale or trade). Then I'll go back and touch up the first two a little. Real happy with the scheme I came up with for the daemons, but the skin tone takes a few 'glazes' and can be a hassle, but I think it is worth it:

Like it alot, especially the eyes+pupils. Always a pain to paint, but you pulled it of!

Indeed, eyes are always tricky. The stupid varnish frosted a bit, and I'm almost tempted to hit the pupils with more black. I'm not completely sure about the purple hair/whatever the heck that is on the back. Maybe a bit too bright, but I wanted some loud colors, as everything muted would look a little too ghoulish, and not Daemony enough. I should try to get better pics, as those muddle the skintone quite a bit. Anywho, I was gonna start the second one today, but my freaking sinuses are killing me, so I'll have to put it off for a bit.

Second one finished. I fixed a head on the last Oblit, but I'm going on to the beach for a week (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina) so it will have to wait. Then hopefully I'll get this dang tooth pulled without much grief, can't wait to have the Oblit squad done.

Thanks guys. You know, I REALLY would like to get my hands on some old Raptors. I'm not entirely happy with my squads. Dunno, since the current ones are Failcast, if they will bring new ones out with the rework. Hope so. Anywho, really excited about that news, Nutz!

Well, almost got another ghoul/daemon finished. Been building a Land Raider too. I was looking at my Vindicator the other day, and it dawned on me I should probably paint it in an Iron Warriors scheme, since I start out playing them. I also want to add a squad of Word Bearers and Night Lords (no bathelms though). I really hope Dark Apostles make a comeback.

Thanks. Those last pictures are pretty crappy, I'll have to get some new ones. I think the teeth and finger/toe nails need a bit of work though, seem a bit too white for my taste.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with them so far. One thing is really annoying me though, I should quit being so lazy on my bases. If I would ever pick up a better adhesive, I could paint/wash/drybrush them some, but I've used crappy Elmer's craft glue on my entire force. I've been thinking about ways to spruce them up, maybe with textured paint? Man, painting power armor gets tedious sometimes, I like these little guys to break the monotony. I'll have to pick up some Daemonettes or something to paint when I get bored of power armor. Couldn't hurt to think about a small Daemon force with the new ally rules.

Hey, my best friend has more Daemons than me, and he's a Dark Angels nutter, lol. This will not stand. I wonder if GW bring out new sculpts for Greater Daemons with the rework? Man, I'm chomping at the bit to see some new Chaos stuff. Also, does anyone know about what the Chaos flyer will be? I've heard a few friends say GW plans on making a flyer for most if not all of the major races.

To be honest, your bases don't scream 'lazy' to me at all, with the grass, little rocks and pebbles. Of course you can improve upon them, but they a a really nice base quality (no pun intended). And I hear you about painting power armor.. I've got 3x plasma and 3x meltamarines standing on my desk since forever. They are almost the last troopers I have to do, but I can't bring myself to paint more basic dudes. Must.. have.. more.. energy.
