I cannot decide which army - Please help!

Stuck between Tzeentch and khorne deamonic legion lists. Here are the 1000pts army lists I will start off with and I will list my pros and cons for each.

Tzeentch:


Pros:

Quick manouverable army

Shooty as hell

Lots of magic

I like their colour scheme - should be quite fun but complicated to paint.

Quite a few fun conversions to do

Cool models

Cons:

Colour scheme will take time - I get bored of a colour scheme quickly

From what I've heard it isn't the nicest list for your opponent to play (though I'm not letting this affect me to much i do want my opponent to have a good time)

I prefer combat based armies

Could get quite complicated for me learning to use them what with all the magic and special rules they have

And now we have Khorne


Pros:

Cool models

Fun conversions

Relatively easy paint scheme plus big oppertunity to try more gold/brass nmm

I like close combatty armies

Easier rules for me to get the hang of plus lots of magic resistance

Can't think of many cons

Cons:

Help me think of a few - I have lost my train of thought

As I cannot think of any cons atm i am edging towards khorne. What does everyone think?

It sounds like you have already found which army you should do. If it was I that was choosing, the con that would shift it for me was:

From what I've heard it isn't the nicest list for your opponent to play (though I'm not letting this affect me to much i do want my opponent to have a good time)

While we all like to win, if your opponent does not enjoy facing your army, they may soon decide that they have more fun playing something else.

But it looks like you have already come to that conclusion. Good luck with the Khornate Army.

The downside to the Khorne legion is their one-dimensionalism. All you have is combat. You're troops are quite powerful, you don't have to worry about psychology, all you do is rush to combat. Not that they don't require tactics, though.

I'm not a fan of tzeentch, so I would suggest Khorne nonetheless.

I run a Tzeentch Mortal army, and would say you'd be best going for Khorne.

Tzeentch daemon armies are shooty, trust me.

The common Tzeentch legion is full of Flamers on foot, disc-riding Flamers and a good portion of bound spells/Tzeentch magic...

Not nice to be on the wrong end of that.

Fair point, It shouldn't take to long a model and if I haven't mastered nmm before then then I will just use RM.

I suppose I had made up my mind, from the point of veiw that when I could not find any cons in my list and the point cpt. brown quoted I kind of realised. I just wanted other opinions as somehow I don't think my opponent will hold any qurters against me (can be a quite the power gamer).
