    Re: Azoth´s diabolical forge [PLOG]

    Just read through your project log from start to finish, really inspiring work here. I really like the repositioning work on your Space Wolves, gave me some ideas for the Tyranid Warriors I have laying about.

    The drop pods are really impressive, especially since you’ve used such common materials, I do agree that you could have added some stabilizers or fins but they look really good as they are.

    The Gladiator is awesome, your work with muscles is really good. I was happily surprised with the greek/roman loincloth, I’ve been planning a roman Centurion Ogre for a while but was worried about how I should do the loincloth. Little did I know the answer was readily available here.

    Like what you’ve done with the Wytches kit for the elf gladiator.

    The Chaos conversions looks to be great, never thought of using blu tack to pre-position the minis, might have to borrow that method.

    As on the Gladiator before, great muscle work on Sly, as well as the pants and boots modifications. It really looks like Sly to, the hair completely sells it.

    Love the squig! I’ve always liked the squig as a concept and you’re doing it exactly as it should be, can I ask, what kind of putty are you using for the basic volumes? I’ve been looking for something I can buy in larger quantities than green stuff and still don’t have to bake to harden.

    @Azendral: Thanks mate, glad you like it.
    About the putty, I use this: http://www.feroca.com/product.php?id_product=45 It´s an epoxy putty from an Spanish firm. I don´t know it you can order it outside Spain or if it will be cheap enough in order for you to order it from your country adding shipping cost. It´s like a rough milliput, but really nice for an initial and rough work. It can be filed and sanded once dried...

    Re: Azoth´s diabolical forge [PLOG]

    Thanks Azoth, as you say, I'm not so sure they deliver outside of spain, doesn't seem like it in their delivery-section but now at least I know what kind of epoxy putty I'm after.

    And again, the squig looks awesome, I agree though with not being sure about the horn, maybe if it was more to the front of the body above one of the eyes maybe or in the forehead.

    @Jormi_Boced: Thanks!
    @juicytomatoes: Thanks!, I´m really satisfied with the face expression... IMHO it lloks like a really mad squig which was my goal
    @lilloser2010: Thanks!..the chosen ones are in the waiting list, I need to have these monsters finished on friday night. Next week I´ll be back for some chaos..

    I also applied liquid GS overall to help the GS to cling on the greasy surface of the walnut

    Ingenious basis for your second squig; that first one looks truly deranged. Great work

    @MaxSigmund: Many thanks mate!
    @Little Joe: thanks!... hope you like the finish of the second one also

    2nd one done..at the end the walnut was not a great idea (annoying texture and form) and I was so in a hurry that the finish was not as good as I wanted...

    Re: Azoth´s diabolical forge [PLOG]

    I wanted a bulldog-style squig (pose, legs...)

    the good thing about sculpting a monster like this, it´s taht you can make non symmetrical parts, not to respect some basic anatomy etc. this kind of things allow you to work faster and "hide" some basic errors...

    Nos, as always, I´ll have to paint them in a hurry also...

    That's why I like sculpting mutants - any mistakes can be excused as general hideousness

    Great work on the walnut squig!

    Fantastic work on the Squigs.
    I'll draw inspiration from this if I ever get around to making my own Mangler.
    Too bad the walnut idea turned out to be not as great as it looked at first. The end result is still great.
