    FFG 40k RPGs Update thread

    latest news and info..
    +++Incoming Astropathic Transmission+++

    Greetings Dark Heresy fans,

This week I want to briefly touch on some of the cool mysteries that surround the Haarlock’s Legacy, particularly in Part 2: Damned Cities. Erasmus Haarlock, the infamous Rogue Trader, left behind a grand legacy of dark secrets and mysteries scattered across the Calixis Sector after his disappearance. Many signs point to his imminent return, and there may be a connection between that event and a string of savage murders on the capital city of Sinophia. It is up to the Acolytes to discover what, if any, links exist between these incidents—and face the unspeakable consequences should they fail.

John French and Alan Bligh have crafted another episode in the epic trilogy of adventures that shape the fate of the Calixis Sector. Damned Cities can be described as one part noir investigation, one part immersive political power play, and one hundred percent thrilling adventure, leading up to a shattering climax that decides the future for the entire world of Sinophia.

The Radical’s Handbook Gets an Upgrade

In addition, I am pleased to present Salvation Demands Sacrifice, an 8-page full-colour downloadable enhancement for The Radical’s Handbook, containing three additional Radical Career Ranks (including the Demagogue, Infil-Traitor, and Saboteur).

Infil-traitor! My favourite 40K name ever!

    Excellent news
What is in a name? An Ork by any other name would still see us as meat.

Interesting. Dead Cities was delayed so long I decided not to use Tattered Fates. Maybe next campaign... or failing that, maybe I can sell Tattered Fates sometime in 2012 when they put out the third book.

Sadly, while this new stuff is awesome looking, the DH group I was DMing just killed themselves by killing an Ork that was assaulting their chimera, blowing up his stock of grenades, defeating the Chimera's armor, and then rolled a 100 for the damage result, killing the entire party

    So on to Rogue Trader!

Not for everyone, and they all felt it was an appropriately silly way to finish off the game.

I know nothing about Erasmus Haarlock, and have not yet played Rogue Trader or Dark Heresy, but this quote makes me want to play a One Piece game set in the 40k galaxy.

    It would be epic.

The Imperial city of Sinophia Magna hides a lurking terror. A series of brutal murders have drawn the attention of the Inquisition, and a twisted pattern suggests a connection to the infamous Rogue Trader, Erasmus Haarlock.

Tattered Fates may have just been a prepublished adventure, but it was still rich with information, background and beautiful artwork. Looking forward to Damned Cities...

    Greetings, Dark Heresy fans!

We announced the release of Damned Cities earlier this week, the second adventure in the epic Haarlock’s Legacy Trilogy. These three adventures all offer some unique looks at particular worlds in the Calixis Sector and outline a dark pattern of events that threaten hundreds of worlds.

    http://new.fantasyflightgames.com/ff...Stylinades.jpg

In Damned Cities, your acolytes will encounter a multi-layered mystery adventure, chock full of investigation and suspense. The acolytes will need to survive the depths of a wicked city, ambushes from any quarter, and somehow avert a civil war that could tear the city apart. It is difficult for even the Inquisition to tell whom to trust...and all the while, a looming threat builds to an explosive climax with the fate of the entire planet at stake.

Damned Cities features a detailed gazeteer on the frontier world of Sinophia, and includes a close look at the capital city of Sinophia Magna. I would be remiss if I did not point out that one of my favorite bits of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the Adeptus Arbites, also have a major role!

The Haarlock’s Legacy Trilogy began with Tattered Fates and now moves into its second act with Damned Cities. The end of the trilogy looms nigh, so make sure your acolytes are prepared!

Dark Heresy is a roleplaying game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the grim darkness of the far future. Players take on the roles of Acolytes serving the Inquisition, rooting out heresy and corruption from within the galaxy-spanning Imperium of Man.
