Hey hello warseer its me again! It’s been a long time since i last posted something in these threads. I was really starting to miss you guys!. So here it is my new plog. Hopefully you guys can help me start painting some of my ever increasing collection of unpainted armies!.
For now ill try to focus on my Vampire counts as they have been sitting on the shelf for far to long. Later on I might finish my NMM dwarf army or start painting my undivided chaos army who knows!

First of is my spirit host heres a quick little snippet:

The head is only to check the color scheme im not too sure if it looks ghostly enough what do you guys thing?? what should I change-add? Comments and criticism welcomed as always.

NMM on the dwarf axe is very good. Will you be able to maintain that standard over a whole army though. It looks very intense work. Though you said it only took you an hour to this stage so time wise it should be ok. But I find having such concentration intensive ares on a model can make it really hard to keep the motivation going.

Very impressed with the NMM on the Dwarf, and the blue on the cloak. Also, the spirit host head is definitely ghostly enough.
Would you be able to reveal what colours you use?
I never seem to be able to get the right result with mine

The dwarf looks aweeeeesome. Did you actually manage to improve your sick NMM skills even more since your last log?
As for the Spirit host head, it looks spirity (is that even a word? ) enough!
Please could you have a run down of the colours used, it may be the case that I finally found the look for my ethereal army!

My last plog its now long dead, but I guess ill bring back a few of the nicest pictures!!

The original idea was to paint my whole dwarf army in NMM. That way when I finished the army my NMM skills would be near perfect with all that practicing.

I stopped painting them exactly a year ago but not because lack of motivation but because I started architecture university and it is really time consuming and demanding. However right now I’m on holidays so I’ve got plenty of time to paint for now!! How good is that?

    So now onto the picts

The first dwarfs ever painted for the army:

Awesome painting. Wish I could paint like this.

Glad to see you kept your shading/reflections consitant. I saw a army NMM painted before that had totally different light sources from unit to unit. It was great NMM but highlights and shading were off as a whole.

Luv the blue. Goes perfect with the beard colors and the base color looks good too. Will you be fully basing these when you finish...It'd be a shame not to.

Looking really sweet dude, am an admirer of NMM and you've done it really well and on an army wide scale whcih is a feat in itself. The shell on the engieer/crewman really stands out without being to in ur face.

Looking forward to more VCs as I think the lords of the undeath are going to be my next project, seeing how you do the spirit host is something I'll be interested in.

When do you think you'll be back onto the VC wagon?

@Griffonclaw: Thank you mate!! So step by step it is , i will be painting them between today and tomorrow so stay tuned!

@Npow34: Thanks! your kind words keep me motivated. The spirit host will be ready soon so stay tuned!

@Gork or possibly Mork: Thanks mate it is really appreciated. Concerning the bases, it’s the part I enjoy the less but knowing it’s an important part of the mini it will be done. I will base them all properly at the end

@H20: Thank you mate it is really flattering to see so many people who saw my last plog and still remember it after a year. About the wagon, I became a little frustrated with the corpses I just couldn’t paint them the way I wanted them to look and paused the project, I can show some pictures of how it looks atm to see what you guys think ? The spirit host is soon to come so plese stay tuned!!

Wow, excellent stuff. I really like the blue a lot, and you've executed the NMM very nicely.

Re: Vampire counts "the return" of the living death, and maybe nmm dwarfs..

Hey hello there you missed me? , I’m sorry for the terrible lack of updates but architecture is pretty demanding and i can only return to my beloved hobby a few days in the year but ive decided i´ll paint my spirit host tonight and do the step by step guide i shamefully promised a realy long time ago hope it is useful for any of you guys:

This is how they look right now i really hate the spirit hosts GW produces so i decided I’ll create mine, right now they might not look ghastly enough, but once I apply the colour they will.
i was looking for something ala "lord of the rings army of the death" but wanted them to look desperate and sad, I think empire flagellants fill the bill nicely, what do you guys thing, should i add something before starting to paint?
