Full shot of the addition. The only model lacking thus far is the Warlord Viskrit Foeslasher himself, mounted on a Great Pox Rat. He's not quite done, but is well on the way(he also happens to be one of my favorite models...). I'm very pleased with the way Grey Seer Kritsch turned out as well, and can't wait to get a game in with him.

this is turning out good, Caligula. Liked the red-contrasting robes of the grey seer, and the doom-flayer looks great.
looking forward to seeing your pox-rat-rider![]()
Happiness is having an alibi and a big backyard to bury the bodies
SevenSins: Thanks a lot, my friend! I really think the red robes on the Grey Seer make him stand out as well, and also provide a nice contrast to his white fur. I see a lot of Grey Seers painted with light robes(usually grey or white), and while they usually look pretty good, I thought a nice contrasting color for the robes would really make him stand out. Needless to say, I'm very happy with the result, and I'm glad you like it as well! The Doom-Flayer also turned out quite nicely, and I can't wait to get a game in with it. Thanks for the compliments, SevenSins!
As for Warlord Viskrit on his Great Pox Rat, I can't wait to show him off! He's coming along nicely and would have been done with this lot(as was originally planned), but I had to wait for the model I'm using as his mount to arrive from back order. Also, it took a little tinkering to figure out how to mount him as convincingly as possible. It won't be long for him now, though, so keep an eye out here for him, and several more models I'm working on.
This seems to be the army that keeps on growing, and I just love it. I can't get enough of the ratmen. The only problem I'm having is fitting in all the number I want in an army list while still being able to also fit in all the cool toys I have at my disposal![]()

Update-madness...
That's a serious reinforcement in one fell swoop. The Grey Seer is just fantastic, as is everything else, though he stands out as a marvellous example of the skill displayed here.

unwanted: Thanks so much, unwanted, I appreciate the kind words and compliments! I agree, the Grey Seer stands out to me as well, and this was certainly intentional. The Grey Seer on Screaming Bell model is one of, if not my favorite model in all of the GW range, and I really wanted to make good use of it. Well, I've done that. I've got two Plague Priests on Plague Furnaces(one converted as a "Plague Bell", as you've probably seen earlier in this plog), and now I've got my Grey Seer on Screaming Bell, which I really lavished a lot of attention on. It's one of those models I've always wanted, and I'm more than pleased with what I've got out of the kit now. In fact, I don't think there's much more I could have done with it!....well, that's not quite true.
In fact, I've got the beginnings of a plan brewing to make a second Plagueclaw Catapult, using the upright chassis type part of the Screaming Bell kit as the base for the Catapult. Actually, I'm pretty certain this is something I'll be doing in the near future, as I (obviously) enjoy working with the Screaming Bell kit. Not only that, but I think the chassis part from the Bell kit will make for a damn impressive base for a Plagueclaw.
Thanks again, unwanted, I'm glad you enjoyed! I like doing massive updates for an army in one fell swoop. I'm not the type of person that can add a unit here and there, I tend to think much bigger than that, and perhaps I'm even a bit manic about it. I get an idea in my head about what I want to add, and I don't stop until it's all complete.
Anyway, I appreciate the comment, my friend, and I'm glad you approve, particularly of my Grey Seer!

Great update!
The only think I'd wish for, is that you don't post such a tiny picture when you post a shot of the whole army. I'd have preferred a pic five times as big...

mrtn: Thanks very much for the compliment! As for the picture size issue, I'll work on that for future updates, and possibly try to adjust the size of some of the current shots. I agree, when it comes to full army shots, larger pictures are in order, and I'll make it happen! I've got plans to take a few pictures of the entire army as it stands right now, and considering that's well over 200 infantry models and additional larger models like Plague Furnaces and the like, well...they're going to need to be much larger shots than I've been using thus far. So, keep an eye out for those, mrtn.
Also, I've still got pictures on the way that were taken by my good friend Kayla, a very good photographer(it's her profession actually) in her studio, and I'm looking forward to sharing those with you guys. So, there's still much, much more to come in terms of pictures, and the next batch will be of the highest quality and detail. Hopefully it'll be more along the lines of what you're looking for as well, mrtn. Thanks again for the comment!

By the way, how many points have you got painted? My mind boggles...

very nice doomwheel!
unwanted: Hmmm, that's a good question actuallyI'm not entirely sure, but including everything I'd have to say it's around 4000 points, maybe more. Actually, it'd likely be a good idea to figure that out at some point, just for reference. I'll let you know!
Nordic: Thanks for the compliment, Nordic! I'm not sure if you're referring to the Doomwheel or the Doom-Flayer, but either way, I appreciate itBoth of those models I'm really, really happy with, and I appreciate the kind words! By the way, your Skaven are looking impressive! Very inspiring, my friend!
The Red Centurions Space Marine Chapter...currently recruiting and re-arming
uh, i meant the Doomflayer. =P whats it made from?
Nordic: The Doom-Flayer is made, essentially out of some Doomwheel parts(on the side), two flying bases that have been scratched and scored for dramatic effect, sandwiched together to make the vast majority of the rotor part, and various blades. It's actually quite simple and could be made in any number of ways, even using the same parts. Oh, and the operator is a Stormevermin model, which I thought worked quite well as the operator. Of course, if one wanted to use a Clanrat or a Plague Monks that could certainly work very well too! In fact, I was considering using a Plague Monk all along, but then really fell in love with the Stormvermin kit, and well...you can see what happened.
Thanks for the interest, Nordic!

Hammer49: Thanks very much, my friend! I appreciate the kind words. Yes indeed, my Skaven have taken complete and utter priority, and as such, I've been able to get them going really quickly. Now that I've got the majority of what I feel I need for them basically done, I can start working on some more varied projects for them. By that I mean I've got done all the Clanrats and Skavenslaves I'll need for the moment, and all the big blocks of troops I could want, so now I can work on some stuff here and there for them. In terms of troop blocks, this is what I have at my disposal:
30 Clanrats-Shields, Full Command
30 Clanrats-Shields, Full Command
30 Clanrats-Shields, Full Command
30 Clanrats-Shields, Full Command
20 Skavenslaves
20 Skavenslaves
20 Skavenslaves
30 Stormvermin-Shields, Full Command
30 Plague Monks-Full Command
30 Plague Monks-Full Command
So, there's a good pile of troop blocks with which to fill out my force and make sure I have a good amount of numbers in any list I make. Of course, I've also got quite a few other units and war machines(or war machine equivalents) done as well, so I've already got quite a few of the toys available in the Skaven list to play with as well. I've been burning through things, and I can finally start to slow down(just a bit), and play around with some cool new additions.
Of course, I'm still working on my Warlord mounted on a Great Pox Rat, but he's well under way and should be done fairly soon. I've basically done this army in two giant waves, and while it's not something I'd recommend to everyone, I'll admit that I'm very pleased with the way it went and how it turned out. Thanks again for the compliments, Hammer49, I truly appreciate it, and of course keep an eye here for more soon. This is one of those projects that is likely to see no end for some time to come.
In fact, I'm in the process of coming up with ideas on how to convert some of the other units in the Skaven army list, namely Warlocks and Gutter Runners for starters. Any thoughts on converting those two units would be much appreciated! I'm also thinking of making a second Plagueclaw Catapult using the Screaming Bell chassis as a base for it(as I've previously mentioned, I believe), and would like to make some more weapon teams, most likely Poisoned Wind Mortars, just for some variety. Also, I've always been a fan of Rat Ogres, and will more likely than not make a sizable unit of them, probably wracked with Clan Pestilens' varioius diseases to fit in with one of the main themes of this whole force(which is mostly an alliance between Clan Pestilens and Clan Skrat, with other units bought from other Clans as normal). So, as you can see, I've definitely got some rather big plans left for this army, and probably many more after that...
Oh, and I'm more than happy to see that so many of you are complimenting my Grey Seer on the Screaming Bell! He's actually become one of my favorite models, and I'm beyond pleased with the way he turned out. I should be getting a game in with him soon enough.

I've just spent the last 30 minutes looking through this plog of skaven goodness, and am in awe of your army. I love the doom flayer and the screaming bell is ace. Your vermin lord is incredible. I shall continue to follow your progress.
