I'm not sure if i like the imagery of a usa soldier in vietnam era uniform throwing fireballs - it's a tad close to home.

While I can accept that it would be especially so if say he was equipped with a flame-thrower, I think the fact that he is wreathed in flame power does differentiate from that kind of imagery, but I respect your viewpoint.

I can see your point....... but then, it doesn't take a genius level intellect to work out the inspiration for this character........

love the paintjob leon, hopefully I will bump into you at salute and see some of these guys in the metal...

I should be demo'ing PC for part of the day, so come over.

As for minis, Sgt. Bale Extreme (as I call him!) will be in the USA by then (I hope!).

Is it a videogame character (because I don't get it) or do you genuinely mean napalm bombing during the war? - we still get dioxin warnings here, can't eat fruit from the garden. Like I said, it's (literally) close to home

    nevermind.

Red and Black both look like they're cell shaded - intentional technique? Must really pop IRL.

Hi maddOctOr; the inspiration for Sgt. Bale Extreme is kind of Ghost Rider meets Team 7 (old Wildstorm characters) mash-up - so comics all the way.

As for the two new ones, just my painting technique and maybe how they were photographed rather than aiming for some specific effect.

I'm not exactly sure what a Tanuki is, but it is very well done. The colours work very well together and I like that it was done with a limited palette.

    Thank you very much sir!

He is supposed to be some kind of raccoon-dog spirit, but since Le mMrtiple had a striped tail, I stayed away from doing that on this mini.

For some of those characters, I just wish the aesthetic was 8-Bit NES style miniatures. Some of them feel like they could have been straight from a Street Fighter - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade - Double Dragon - Battle Toads - Streets of Rage - Golden Axe ultra mash up.

In fact, I should trademark/copyright/whatever that idea. I shall call it (S)Mash-Up - the Side Scrolling Beat 'em Up Table Top Skirmish Game.
Sounds like I could actually pull it off with Kickstarter, lol!

    Cheers Daniel and JT.

The Digger has me channeling a little bit of 90's GW style in the orange highlighting! LOL.
