    Thanks for popping by.

I am working on another ARC member (Howler) right now, so hopefully that will be done soon.

    Nice collection leonmallett.
Is that a camera woman in this picture?
I want to add embedded journalists to my guard army.
Is this the only one in the range?

Good spot. That Minion is a resin piece, a Minion called June Summers. The model was a special offer last summer, but is supposed to go on more general release (possibly in metal) at some time in the eventual future. I am due another couple of the model (I hope) so if one turns up I'll let you know if you would like. It is the only such model in the range.

As an alternative there is this male handycam operator from EM 4, and painted version by a friend of mine is here.

BTW - I love your papercraft stuff and linked to your thread from my blog since I thought it is such a great gamer resource.

    Re: Pulp City project log

I had forgotten about those EM 4 minis.
I hope that June Summers comes out in metal though, she looks more like a war corespondent.

...and thanks too, I just added a few more buildings to my papercraft log.

    Sgt. Bale Extreme:

The model has been assembled for a couple of days. Now I just need to wait for the weather to improve to get warm enough to spray undercoat it.

    Components:
    - Sgt. Bale (Pulp City)
    - base insert, flaming skull, small flame piece (Wyrd Miniatures; Flame Base & Accessories)
    - gun, possibly based on M4 (RAFM; USX; modern weapons pack)

    Two more.

    Sister Bedlam:
(Right, right middle) This model has taken three seperate attempts to photograph it - annoying to say the least. Of course that is down to my own limitations.

    Howler:
(Left middle, left) I was surprised about how enjoyable I found painting this mini, more than any I have painted from any range in years. It went quickly and smoothly - I only wish all painting was as pleasant.

    Some very interesting models here!
I think Howler is one of my fave's. Excellent paintjob on it too.

I am relly happy to see a Pulp City exclusive paintig log. The game is really done by gaming enthusiasts and it shows.
I do like your colour selection, quite different to what Morf and his painter use.

Thanks for the kind compliments. Feel free to check out my blog if you like, since there is often stuff on there that i don't post in this thread.

On the challenge I have set myself (to paint at least 1 of every Pulp City model available in the next 12 months) - after 1 month I am already behind. Oh well...

I will ask Morf how many models will be released this year once he's back from vacation.

Last I knew he was aiming for 20-30, but likely closer to 20. That said, they tend to release them in groups of 4, so I expect 24 more models this year. Aye carumba!

BTW - I really like your Hellsmith avatar, BlazeXI.

Latest pictures. Solar has been painted for a while, but had a recent touch up. Ace of Wraiths on the other hand has been painted over a period of months. I wasn't too happy with the end result at first, but I am coming around. My first attempt at using OSL which you may just be able to see at the back if you click on the thumbnail.

I only managed to paint three models in January (Xenobi, Howler and ace of Wraiths) so I am already behind my self-imposed challenge.

It's nice to see you going so strong with these models. I can see how it's a lot of fun to do, there's so many different ones, and they are all full of character. It's not my thing, it's a but too much out there, but I do understand the charm. Very X-Men / G.I. Joe-ish, which is nice.

Does the game offer people the opportunity to come up with their own characters? And how do they scale with say... 40K?

No individual character creation (but there are rules for henchmen - Minion - creation; which allows kind of lesser-superbeings creation in a way).

As for scale - the sculpting styles veers towards more true-proportion than GW heroic, they will mostly look slender alongside 40K figures (which would work well for some choices; thinking emaciated Inquisition retinue and IG advisor types).

As for the GI Joe and X-Men vibe, wait til you see what i am finishing right now...

    Re: Pulp City project log

Okay latest updates. This month I have finished 3 models already, and have almost done 2 more - last month I did 3 in total, so that is better.

My camera will not work at all, and went 'kaput' last week, so the latest pictures I have were from last week. I had to get a USB SD-memory card reader to be able to upload these.
