Cheers, with the tervigon sac i just kept it as 2 seperate parts and put 2 pairs of magnets along the inside edges using greenstuff. Thanks to the gribbly bits that hook into the torso if the model it stays on perfectly :-)

On another note have you got a picture of where you placed the magnets on the birthing sac, I may consider that myself.

Hey guys, played a special scenario with my nids at my local gaming store tonight, Me and a mate's nids versus about 8 guys with 400pts of imperials each. The mission for the imperials was to survive for 4 turns in their fortress and not have any units in CC at the end of the 4th turn. Us nids were aloud to recycle troops. I alone ended up having about 5.5k of nids on the board lol. Was a really good game and went right down to the wire with my doom of malantai and a trygon prime managing to kill off the last few marines hiding right at the back of the board.

Man of the match was probably the Doom of malantai who dropped in and caused a ton of casualties followed closely by the Swarmlord with some lashwhip Tyrant guard. He just mulched everything he got in contact with. Me and my mate got lucky with the imperials choices as most of them took assault based squads, had they chosen to take vindicators ( they were allowed to take 1 tank each if they wanted) It could have been a very different game, also luckily there were no GK paladins in the game which would have been a nightmare for my nids lol

I'm not sure why you bothered magnetizing the T-Fex/ Tervigon given how good your own T-Fex build looks but magnetising is geeky fun.

Questions about your painting technique: you have often mentioned 'dusting' with your white spray. How do you do this? I think I'm a tad too heavy handed with mine and it comes out too flat.

When i say dust i basicly spray the model leaving recesses and things like the undersides and insides of legs etc black or clise to black. Other areas where light would hit the model usually end up flat white :-)

Hey guys, heres a couple of pics of a game i had last night, tried out lash whip bonesword warriors with a prime for the first time, was very very good, also hink this was the first game i used normal stealers instead of ymgarls, oh also tried 2 tervigons aswell.

Was using the death worlds missions from this months white dwarf, was an absolutely brilliant game.

Hey guys, still working away on my nids, have some new models currently being painted up and will definitely have to get a new army shot up as it has expanded quite a bit

With 6th edition out i thought i'd make myself another harpy so here it is...



Still a couple things i want to do with it, considering putting some sporemine heads on its chest where the Hive tyrant spikes should go.

Hey guys, update time

Just got my new flyrant finished







Have found him awesome in 6th ed games so far

Thinking of changing my lists a bit after playing a few games of 6th. Large tarpit gaunt units seem worthwile so i think i'll have to expand a couple of my gaunt units. Also Carnifexes seem to be overtaking trygons in my mind with the way they can ignore the I1 charge through cover thing when given frag spines. Maybe have to run a unit of 3 with a prime with lashwhip in it lol.

Well had a game of sixth today against a mate, was a 1750 pt game with my nids against his grey knights.

I ran Swarmlord with 2 LW tyrant guard, 3 hive guard, Doom in a pod, 1 zoanathrope, 30 gaunts, 20 hormagaunts with toxin sacs, 3 warriors with LW/BS and barbed strangler, tervigon with toxin sacs and catalyst, Harpy and a carnifex

He had Draigo and 5 paladins with all the bling, 5 purifiers in a stormraven, 5 of the dev squad type gk's 5 pagk with an inquisitor and a NDK.

Game went alright with my large unit of gaunts and hormagaunts helping to hold up his paladin unit and NDK while the swarmlord toddled across the board, i gave the swarlord 4 biomancy powers which helped alot, my zoanathrope also got invisibility which i used to great effect on the large gaunt brood

Game ended turn 6 with a win to the gk's because all i had left was the swarmlord. He had managed to kill draigo and most of the paladin squad. He spent the last 3 turns of the game getting challenged by an individual paladin which he promtly squished which was both hilarious and annoying at the same time lol.

Harpy wasn't as much use as when i used him against some guard, will probably use a flyrant next time instead. Yet to see how ell fexes do as my poor bugger got shot to pieces in turn 1, i had rolled 4 consecutive 1's in row for his armor save lol.
Still not sure whether the 20 hormagaunts are a worthy investment or not, the turn they charged the dev squad ( what ever its called) there was something like 42 attacks which only resulted in about 5 wounds lol.

Have built myself a quad gun which i think i might throw in my list next time for some extra flyer security

Edit: oh yeah i completely forgot about the doom in his pod till turn 4 which might have made a difference lol. When he did finally land he managed to kill one paladin before being blown away by bolter fire. I blame all these new rules Also paladins being a unit of characters is no fun with all those look out sir roles lol.
