I suggest opening up a photobucket or imageshack account to host your images, then use [IMG] tags to display them here.

    Re: Toonboy's log

    Close ups of my raiders

    the Crusader

    The Godhammer

    The Redeemer

    some stories about these

i bought the crusader and godhammer off ebay for £50. the crusdaer was just undercoated black, bu the Godammer had been painted and by the looks of it varnished as well. it is taking time to repaint the godhammer one.

the redeemer i thought i had got a bargain form ebay, a landraider for £15 including P+P. however it had been put together by a monkey with superglue and painted in silver paint with a spatular! by the time i bought the redeemer sprue i may as well have bought a new one! in addition i was in a little bit of a hurry to build it up for a tourney and while getting 'help' from my 3 year old i managed to put the weapons on upside down.

    Re: Toonboy's log

Like any good tactical squad, they should have some rhino transport:

    and some close ups

    rhino 1

    rhino 2

normally in 1500 i only take 1 as my other tact is in a raider,

    Re: Toonboy's log

my terms are to follow then that will be my 1500 point force

yes the theme is the steelers.....quote the wife "if you are collecting toy soldiers i want something i will like"

as a steelers fan she bought me my first paints which happened to be steeler colours!

the yellow is difficult to paint. 2 layers of white as a base then 2/3 layers of yellow just for the base colour

    Re: Toonboy's log

    ok here are my terms

Thunderhammers painted as a birthday present by my brother. one still to be finished (he sent them to me to be used in a tourney at the end of nov. posted them early that is why one is not complete, and they never turned up for the tourney...as the posty being helpful let them in my garden, but as it is dark nights i can't see out there and he never left me a note)

    another pic of them

    and a 3rd

he has used a non metallic metal colour scheme

    Re: Toonboy's log

new update from games at the weekend.

i played dark angels (2 draws, very winning, only because he has a comparatively poor codex), and a 3 way game against them and the emporers children

    taking control of the centre:

    a dark angels dread....that didn't die

notice the board...a big thanks to silentsmoke of the safehouse

river is mine from my fantay days (14 years ago) so are the trees. the trees aren't great for 40k as they are quite codensed and not much room to put guys in

the games were played from 9pm to 1am on a very cold evening in a garage. it was sub zero, but we plenty of good food and beers thanks Hypaspist and wife...to be fair we did the cooking while our wives chatted!

You have some pretty nice models!
They look very nice, and the colour scheme is very attractive and looks great on the field

    Re: Toonboy's log

    dreads you say...

just the basic one from AOBR box set. great load out, i just need to chop off the storm bolter and stick a HF on it. get him a drop pod, shame you guys won't let me use tthe forgeworld one......

I think for our tourney i may take him in a pod and a librarian just to stop those painful Zoanthropes, but that may be a bit over kill.

now this is a bit of a teaser for my Grey Knights.

i'll take pics of my ironcland an post that, but i have other heavy armour...see below

    Re: Toonboy's log

    now my dakka pred.

although i don't use this as often as i should i think it is one of the best buys in any army. 85 points!

    and a vindicator as well!

a Top Gear face off shot

these need a load more detail on them, but they are good enough for table top.
