Ahhh, I love the sight of angry dwarf first thing in the morning. Or any other time for that matter.

A most splendiferous slayer. Still not sure about the standard, but one can always leave that off. I'm looking forward to seeing the ornamentation on those axes.

"Hey guys, guess what I killed? You'll never guess!"

Stumpy the Dragonslayer was always surprised when people answered that question correctly.

Stumpy the Dragonslayer, unlike most dwarfs, also hated tunnels with low ceilings. He never quite figured out why.

Very nice. Although I will probably do the banner pole as a separate standard.

Awesome. Simply awesome I'm hoping for a variant with double handed axe - would make it very Grotrek (if it comes with an eye patch too)

    Oh, expletive, that's good.
The word you're looking for is codices, the plural of codex.

I'm really looking forward to this.
Felix said on the forums that he's going with a smaller standard, which is good news, imo.

It will be interesting to see how he manages a smaller standard. The standard is currently the size it really needs to be. A smaller Dragon Skull won't be nearly as impressive, and it needs to be the height it is to get clear of the fellow's hair.

    Just a thought...

    love the main body/dwarf

    love the standard/banner pole

but i don't like them together for some reason

it'd make an amazing slayer standard bearer pole though

Yep - the entire model is a dead ringer for the high-end Slayer art in Warhammer Online. Which is kinda ironic if you think about it.

    And its an awesome mini.

I was naturally drawn to the skull banner rather than the Slayer when I first look at the minis. The skull is too big that it draws attention away from the Slayer.

    Exactly my thought.

However it is either with or without standard as a smaller skull would take the awesomeness away and the difference between slaying a dragon rather than a large lizard...

IMO the facial expression is what makes this model sooo good!

I doubt very much that it was just a coincidence.

Not that I'm complaining at all, the WAR art is awesome for slayers, especially the slayer pirate.

I don't really want Felix to reduce the banner as it's perfect imo.

I do like the banner too. W/o it, well, it's just another slayer. Any smaller, and it'd look just ridiculous, "dude, why do you have that broom stuck on your back?". Not sure I like the idea of him wanting to shrink it but, ah well, I got no say in it anyway.

It is a great miniature, never been a big fan of the slayer concept though.

Rather than putting the big dragon skull on the banner pole, how about chaining it as a backpack. Just a fun thought

Re: AOW's New Dwarf Berserker lord

Nice work! Not a fan of the pole (they can work sometimes, but in this case it feels a little too top-heavy), but all told it's excellent.

I also like it whenever Felix does a model that -isn't- in the "leaning back and pointing with their weapon" pose

As we are in discussion about re-organising the Forums (you may have noticed changes recently) we are removing all threads about non-GW products from the Warhammer News and Rumours sub-forum and putting them in M,P&T. Whether or not they remain there is yet to be determined.

    So.... thread moved.

I'm going to echo what was said above, but that's clearly an awesome model, really can't wait to get a hold of one!
But would you believe it, I never heard of AoW until now (and i'm quite pleasantly surprised), hence my question: are these model game-sized or are they made for painting purpose only?
