Both those crews are very fast, but the Dreamer hits much harder, and Kirai's Spirits are a little more resilient to harm. As the Kirai player, don't let Lord Chompy Bits get into melee with you, as his Onslaught trigger will kill Kirai very quickly! You should have some good games

    Re: Malifaux

Lilith is the first master I got for Malifaux.

I'm assuming that you just got the starter box set.

The book one models suggested are those that I have used with varying degrees of success. Mind you, and some of them are scenario and terrain dependent, but since you choose crews after you see the board knowing the strategy and having picked the schemes, it shouldn't be a problem.

Young Nephelim. They hit hard for there SS (soul stone) cost. Can keep up with Lilith, and work well with her play style which is ambush/guerrilla warfare. The diving attack at range 9 no LOS needed is a great way to spring an attack from directions that non Lilith/savvy players would assume no attack can come from.

Moreover, it is fairly easy getting a blood token on either Lilith or even a tot, to make growing tots a viable option to have using a normal play style. (By normal I mean non dedicated grow lists.)

Primordial Magic. Arcane reservoir on Lilith is strong. An extra card in the control hand is always a good thing. Moreover it also helps Lilith to cycle her fate deck quicker with her Rush of Magic rule. You will draw 8, keep 7 cards.

Magical extension on a totem is always useful as they can use SS to cast the masters spell. Saving up an AP on Lilith from casting allows Lilith to chop the opponent 3 times. The spell specifically in mind is Transposition.

Waldgiest. Armour 2, decent dmg output, with its ability to move forests, works well with Lilith and her illusionary forest. Always a good choice if the board you play on has forested terrain.

Misaki. Able to keep up with Liliths crew when she casts her earth spell ignoring all terrain. Casting her wind spell gives her an insane 6" melee attack range. Her Bisento melee output is high and magical as well.

In the last tourny I played, all my opponents made the mistake of having models left within 6" of Misaki. 0 ap for wind, and chop the opponent 3 times (2 ap and 1 melee expert) to kill off said model.

    OR

Transposition high priority targets using Lilith into Misaki's and Lilith's melee range by replacing a tot near by and repeat the above.

I'm in the process of trying out Taelor with Lilith to see if I have similar success with her as I did with Misaki. I think the 9 SS cost may be a bit too high compared to Misaki's 8. These are outcastmercs in non outcast list costs BTW.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers.

Ooh, they sound lovely! Any pictures as of yet, the NE Teddy was spectacular, albeit a bit on the expensive side...

Just read about the black friday sale! What do you guys think? I am sorely tempted to get me that Gremlinette. Even if 20$+Postage is way to much for a single Gremlin.

    Re: Malifaux

I am hoping to got a Gremlinette and a pack of PW Teddies, but I'm not counting on my lck since the store will the hit hard and fast by people after them and numbers seem to be limited.

I thought it was a shame NE LCB was so expensive and putting him outside my price range, but Wyrd were said to have made a loss on the box last year when it retailed for $60.

@ Gomez - sorry to hear you'll be missing it

I am thinking of trying to get a gremlinette, I would love to get some teddies as well but the time differential and demand will probably not make it possible.

Do they start at midnight or at their work start? A time would be nice to stand a chance. Midnight should work out at about 7 a.m. here which is good, anything later and I will be at work without the possibility to place an order.

    Re: Malifaux

Ouch! Well, I can settle with the ordinary one, a hundred bucks is quite much even for a superb model! If it's not 12" tall that is

Nate said on the Wyrd forums that they'd be flipping the switch at Midnight on Thursday.

Hopefully the servers will be able to hold up from all the refreshes taking place at 11:59.

And since I'm not a morning person, there will still be some things left for me to buy when I eventually get up and go on the store, lol.

Good news for those of us on the other side of the world then.

When the stores open at midnight it would be around the afternoon here.

    Cheers!
